But the stakes are very high and political opposition is now fraught with life or death meaning. Egos are on the line and easily frayed in ways they never have been before. This is a new development that wasn’t the case a mere ten years ago.
The decision to defoo should depend on intensity of your shitlib friend’s or family member’s commitment to their ideological axe-grinding. Thankfully, most shitlibs aren’t (yet) so far gone that they’ll berate you about the Orange Man for as long as you’re willing to listen. But the lunatics are out there, and their numbers are growing. If you have one of these lunatics in your social circle, defoo away those irreconcilable differences. It’s easy to overlook how simple minded the average person is when it comes to the games we play. Most people like or dislike something–be it music, movies, politics, religious views, etc.–simply because of who in their personal life represents those items.
How many people here grew up hating Christianity because they had that one snobby uncle or meddling aunt that drove a Cadillac and condemned you to hell for buying a Led Zeppelin album? There’s no logic in that but its natural to attach people to ideas even if they seemed to make sense to us if we focused on it ourselves and drew our own conclusions. Most people aren’t mature enough to do this so, as Strother Martin said in Cool Hand Luke, we have what we get what we have here…”a failure to communicate” (“some men you just can’t reach”). This is why debating with people on a logical premise is a waste most of the time. Human beings are illogical in almost every action we make; certainly this is true when it comes to collectives and there comes a time of action when the cacophony of debate yields no positive results.

I state the question in practical terms, because I don’t believe in the Bible and I am uninterested in a Scriptural argument. Such argumentation would be futile anyway, given the immense flexibility of Biblical text: As with the text itself, any particular interpretation thereof must perforce be accepted on Faith, a definite virtue to Christians.
Hatred toward once’s ancestors and children, especially, is a racially destructive principle. Such a principle is clearly distinguishable from cutting off a traitor to the family, the bloodline, and the race: Destruction of traitors is always love and loyalty for the thing betrayed.
E.g., if (and I shudder to say this hypothetically) you were to have a coalburning daughter—or a niggerfucking son—then she (or he) would be a traitor against all your ancestors back to the dawn of time, plus all of your other potential descendants yet unborn until the end of the world. Disowning and disavowing the traitor is in first principle an act of love for your parents, your brothers, your sisters, and your (other) children. Hatred for the traitor is only a mere corollary, and not a virtue in itself.
Even if you are the lone one to find the right path from a “liberal” family, the same principle nevertheless applies: Your ancestors long dead and your descendants a thousand years hence demand your loyalty. The current generation is always relatively negligible—a mere link in an unending chain. Even if you must hate every other member of your family who is now alive, that hatred is only the servant of your love for your ancestors and your posterity.
In practical terms, I do not see how to reconcile this with a bare commandment that requires, as a divine principle, that every man must “hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life.” (And I have omitted any discussion of that last clause.)

More deeply, my read on COs “gotta stop caring” and “gotta go to that dark place” and “stare into the abyss” is as follows:
It is an exhortation to recognize reality (the reality of women, the (((enemy))), etc) for what it TRULY is (NOT caring), as opposed to seeing it as one might WISH it to be (Caring)
It is only by staring into that abyss that one can gain the perspective and wisdom that nothing can hurt us, that even in death, we have Nothing to lose. The individual may die, but the race will live on. It is from this dark place that one can muster the true courage to fight, and prevail, In the wars to come.

I may have a different perspective on this than some here, for I don’t believe in a mystical heaven. Posterity right here on earth is all that I will ever have to survive my exit from this frail and fleeting life. Is that not worth dying for? Life is short, and all men die; would death not be a cheap price to pay for an effectual earthly immortality? —Is that not worth living for with unbounded devotion, and fighting for with implacable fury? Like most scripture, this is not to be taken literally. Scripture is literature about the highest things, which by their nature cannot be expressed literally.
The injunction to hate your family is meant to shock you into acknowledging what is at stake. Whatever you thought the Kingdom of God was, well, it’s much bigger than that. In fact, the love for your own mother cannot compare.
My point in citing this passage was not to elevate ideology over family, like the left, but rather to let you agnostics know that we have been on this beat from the very beginning. If your love of family is not first grounded in the eternal things, it becomes yet one more instrument of your own vanity and withers under challenge.

The problem is that disassociating oneself from one’s family is a mark of courage on the left because their ideology insists upon the destruction of the family. They will always have an advantage in that regard.
On the right, where the integrity of the family is essential, the best you can do is: “I must isolate myself from you more out of sorrow (or even love) than anger.” For lefties, tearing apart the family is a feature, not a bug — it achieves both particular and general ends with the same action. Efficient like metastasis.
Having a complete leftist retard in an otherwise conservative family (or even a group of friends) indicates a general dysfunction larger than any individual’s political preferences. And leftism isn’t much of a philosophy anyway, it’s a posture and a psychology shading into mental illness. To home-grow a saboteur of that kind bespeaks a much more fundamental malfunction in the body as a whole.
It’s like being surprised to have a gay family member. That doesn’t “just happen.” It’s a sure sign that some deeply fucked-up stuff occurred at home the family pretends does not exist.

Suppose you have a nice, liberal family member who votes Democrat, or whatever. In his morally inverted mind, subjectively, your being “Nazi” effectually makes you a criminal.
Now, consider real crimes. Do you have any family members who would bail you out if you burnt down an orphanage? I could pick over the finer points of this analogy a bit; it is imperfect, but admissible for demonstrating at the baseline that some folks seem to just have a “blood is thicker than water” rule written into their bones. Maybe they’ve really come to believe on faith that race is a “social construct”, but they still know family as blood in reality.
That’s just a rough sketch of the concept I had in mind, when I wrote the sentence you quoted.

My own mother, (as a result of beings largely isolated and alone the past 2 years with nothing but the dogs and CNN/MSNBC as a result of my traveling) Has been thoroughly brainwashed by the Talmudvison to the point that any political discussion between us hits an immediate standstill. (She is also not capable of reasoned, disinterested debate, not her strength). So, I avoid politics completely.
That said, she supports me 100,000% in every way imaginable. Cook, clean, answers phones when I’m away, etc etc etc. the list goes on and on.
She knows her role In the family is to keep the home fire burning and take small tasks off my plate, freeing me to focus on higher order tasks. She proudly calls herself my “support system”. (She’s a frugal, hard working, native German woman, by the way. It’s quite remarkable how her politics is entirely pozzed, but her day to day actions on behalf of the family are those of a traditional German Hausfrau)
I have absolutely no doubt In my mind that she would freely volunteer to take fall for me if I ever got into legal trouble, since I’m the primary breadwinner of the family and I help support my brother, sister, and their children.
There’s no way in HELL I’d ever come close to “disowning” that woman just because she votes democrat. The good she does the white race by supporting me and my goals far outweighs her one measly vote and a few Facebook shares that nobody pays attention to anyway.

I have experience with that working to draw a woman in deeper—albeit as an attitude, not a corny one-liner. In some ways, I made almost a sexual fetish of our extreme, polar-opposite difference. She loved it, hated it, loved to hate it, and hated to love it—that was chick crack, so to speak.
But really, there is no magic line. No script. It depends upon the individual character of the girl, on a much deeper level than “manic pixie dreamgirl”, and also on the little details of the scenario. Also on you. What comes off smoothly from one man will fall flat from another. It’s not a matter of one being better than another: It’s a matter of playing to your own strengths, not pretending to be someone you aren’t.

Then I realized that, as a practical matter, the advice was both useless, and liable to get me called a “vírgin heliocentrist” (haw!). Men will fuck. Some will do it with leftist sluts. Politics is the art of the possible. Given the political demographics out there, I don’t think that “shun leftist girls” is a productive answer to give—at least, not in and of itself.
However, I will point out a significant problem that I have mentioned elsewhere: Liberal girls are “pro-choice”. Would you accept any risk of have your own seed aborted, in case of unexpected pregnancy?
Some lefty women have remaining in them enough of an instinctive conscience and mothering instinct that they are viscerally horrified at the idea of having an abortion themselves. For them, abortion is a theoretical “right”—but actual abortions are for other women. Yes, I’ve had this conversation. The world is complicated. People are complicated. Deal.
However, many liberal women are not that way! Many are stone-cold babykillers with no mothering instinct whatsoever. Many of them actively hate babies, and will complacently treat an accidental pregnancy just like a tapeworm infection: A parasite to be removed. At the extreme, if you go to some abortion-extremist and “antinatalist” watering holes, you will see women openly stating that they consider fetuses to be parasites.
If you are not selective, if you don’t handle this issue upfront, then you run a nonzero risk of accidentally creating and then killing your own kid.
Just think about that for awhile. Is a casual fuck worth it?

This comity all changed when in the UK the quote all politics is personal movement go started.
Now there is a whole subtext of saying and banter to reinforce the adherence to certain political thought. Those quips, Trump putdowns, sly virtue signals are all a part of the game now. The reason people do it is to make sure that no one says a contrary word to the approved double speak.
This is why the lefties freaked when Trump won. They all had gone out like the good outer party and made sly comments at every social gathering. No one said a discouraging word so therefore everyone thinks properly left.
This used to be cute. It used to be that we all had that one girl who went to an East Coast school and came back with lefty ideas. Everyone at the family gathering would politely nod at their nonsense and the new idea girl would be happy and family gatherings peaceful.

I’m really stuck, because a lot of my friends are musicians, managers, promoters, music photographers, venue owners, sound guys, studio engineers, etc. They are lockstep left-wing, though there are the occasional glimmers of common sense about trans stuff sometimes. Even they are capable of being shocked, sometimes.
So if I lose them I not only lose my friends, I lose the music that I love, which is a quarter not just of my entertainment but of my entire enjoyment of life, and people that I otherwise admire on a professional level and some of them are even heroes to me.
We’re really just screwed on the entertainment/media front. The bottom line is: you can’t hobble together your entire down-time entertainment with just James Woods, Gary Sinese, Kelsey Grammer, Gene Simmons, and Ted Nugent. You have to compromise somewhere or you’ll find yourself going full Amish. Maybe that’s what it will take in the end, but I’m not ready to go there yet.

@jay in dc, yes it’s a fair cop. I’m in my lower 50s, and while I recognize that only blood will save the West, I admit that I’m still in “you go first” mode. And I think a lot of other people are as well, which is why I’m suspicious of the idea that anything can actually be done about this. So, yes, I am part of the problem.
I think the West absolutely cannot be saved without an outright purge of the media/entertainment and pre-school to post-grad education infrastructures. And I just can’t ever see the West ever getting the resolve necessary to do it, when half the population of the West thinks the West IS the enemy.

After years of total rejection of the faith, I have FINALLY wised up and embraced it.
I tried everything else. There’s just no other way. Although I am technically “confirmed”, I had never actually accepted it as truth until this year.
Once you accept wholeheartedly the fundamental philosophy being laid out in the Bible, it gives you all the immunity towards clownworld you can ask for. It kept our people strong and alive for 2000 years and can do it 2000 more and 2000 more after that.
The most important aspect of the faith is that it provides the FRAME that you need to counter lies. As a non-believer, I didn’t have the toolbox and the kind to counter it because I was starting from a place of profound sin.
It was only when I acknowledged that I was a SINNER, living a corrupt and SINFUL life, that it finally became to clear to me which direction I had to go. I could never see clearly as long as my mind was BURDENED BY AND IMMERSED IN SIN. And that if I wanted peace in my life, and real forward progress, I had to atone for, and cleanse my sinful ways first.

…have in essence reverted to the primitive Christianity of the Jewish Christian cults that were rampant in the Second Century. Basically a Judaized Zóroástrianism. (The three Magi (= Zoroástrian matrilineal-hereditary priests) even left a calling card in the Nativity myth. Whether or not Magi were proto-Jews is a vexed question, on which available evidence cannot admit a positive conclusion.)
White men later adapted Christianity to themselves. For most of its history, European Christianity was a White man’s religion infected with some Jewishness. It was NOT “Judaeo-Christian”, and the Christians of that time would have found the term repulsive.
It is not mere happenstance that those who revert to primitive Christianity have embraced the term “Judaeo-Christian”, and fawn at the feet of the Yids. Their religion is NOT “Christianity” in the sense of European Christendom.
There is much history here. I here sketch a very few key points that I know as an atheist who objectively studies religion, its history, and its important role in society.
