Anecdotally, I know a man who’s been on a zero-grain lifestyle for ten years. He says he hasn’t had a single cavity in that time, and hardly any plaque build-up. His dentist appointments are five minutes long, ending with the dentist scratching his head in wonderment at the youthful quality of this man’s oral health.
There is a fairly well-established literature showing an association between gum disease and heart disease. The theory is that bacteria enter through compromised gums and get into the cardiovascular system, causing inflammation and damage to arteries.
However, the causality may be upstream of the bacteria hypothesis. It could instead be the grains directly causing heart disease and gum disease independent of each other.
If so, the left wing fad for a meat-free, grain-heavy diet to “save the earth” might wind up making all of us unhealthier, suffering bleeding gums and seizing hearts.

I think most of that guys dental health is good genes. I try to have good jeans like jordache etc lol. like a guy smoker who dies of lung cancer at 35 where I seen 80 year old guys smoking away they said for over 60 years. I think so both diet and genes are very big factor. But teeth is not designed to last 80 years etc.
With traditional diet,, even with grains and legumes, they are prepared different. The bread is sour dough (made with prozimi) and this deactivates anti nutrients. With legumes is is the same. The tradtional diet of the more countries is high fat, moderate protein,, and grains that are soaked. It is not the modern processed grains which is only pure carbohydrate with out nutriotional benefit. The refined carbs are horrible for dental health.
But you are correct about genes. Some people eat bad and still have beautifull teeth.

Eh, the decay process and who gets them is is complicated. Decay is a bacterial infection– Strep Mutans, that thrives on refined carbs.
The less carbs, the less acidic fizzy drinks (diet or sugar), the healthier you will be systemically and dentally. Eating carbs as whole grains doesn’t cause inflammation, but when grains are milled into flour, the starch they contain becomes a high-glycemic-load food, and rapidly converts to glucose, causing rapid rises in blood sugar that promote the formation of AGEs – advanced glycation end products, and these combinations of sugars and protein are pro-inflammatory.
Keto for me, and should be for thee.

Your body, including your teeth is not designed to eat meat. It can, but that is not optimal.
Speaking of teeth. Look at your teeth. Then look at a dogs teeth. Or a bear. Or a raccoon. They have omnivore teeth. You dont. Homo sapiens are starchivores. Starch is good. Beans, corn, barley, rice, grain, etc. That is what we evolved to eat.
The problem with grains or other forms of “carbs” is when they are highly refined. Corn is good. High fructose corn syrup is not. Brown rice is fine. White rice is less fine. If you distill rice down to just the sugar in it, remove the nutrients and fiber then it would be bad for you and your teeth.
The growing fad of not eating meat is great. Its about time. There is nothing wrong or left wing about caring about the environment or welfare of animals. That is noble. Eating animal products is also really unhealthy.
I am dedicated to securing the existence of my people and a future for white children and I do not eat any animal products or processed food. And the reason I don’t is I want to be fit and healthy so I can work hard and long in my mission for our people.

the fact that you have to take a supplement at all is proof your diet is inadequate. supplements are a way of life for most vegans and vegetarians. that right there should be enough of a clue to tell you something isn’t right with that way of eating.
if you were 80% or full carnivore you wouldn’t need any supplements. you can get all the nutrients you need to thrive from meat.
LikeLike
B12 is found in microbes in dirt, and in the meat of animals that eat dirt on plants. It is essential for your central nervous system. But you only need a microscopic amount of it and your body can store it. It would take several years consuming absolutely zero B12 before it would become a problem. Like if all your vegetables were grown hydroponically or sterilized or something. I doubt I need it. The vegetables I eat from my garden and the mushrooms I pick in the woods aren’t perfectly clean. There’s probably enough B12 in the dirt on them I would be fine. I take the vitamin (and only that vitamin) just to err on the side of caution. A B12 deficiency can affect people who eat meat too. I think it usually has more to do with the stomach and intestinal lining being messed up than diet. Either way it is really rare.
Negative side effects from eating animal products are not rare and include increased risk of hypertension, heart disease, atherosclerosis, and cancer. Especially if you went “full carnivore”. That’s a terrible idea. Look at Jordan Peterson. He eats nothing but beef. You can see him dying before your eyes. He looks like a fucking corpse.

Our digestive system strongly resembles that of a cat and a dog. We lack fermentive capacity that is needed to properly digest plants.
Our teeth are smaller in part due to our creation of tools to hunt and process meat, taming of fire for warmth and to cook meat, and developing speech (to hunt cooperatively to get meat.
Most of humanity’s existence on this planet was as apex predator. Say for the lasr 200k years of so. Note that there are no cave paintings of potatoes or other plant foods lol. The extinction of the mega-fauna is when it started to change.
Our simple acid stomachs and long small intestine are optimized to digest meat. Meat from ruminants packs the most nutrition, pound for pound, of any other food. And provides the highest level of satiety for most people.
As has been pointed out, when humans gave up the hunter gatherer lifestyle they got smaller, weaker, and sicker.
Everyone is different and only you can know what makes you feel your best.

BigJohn you failed to address any of my arguments about human evolution.
I don’t think you shouldn’t eat a plant based diet. Go for it man!
But you’re ignoring important facts about us and what makes us different from our ape cousins and ancestors.
Eating meat is what enabled proto-humans to grow their brains, develop tools, and language. No language is needed to stalk a blueberry bush.
And regarding the nutritional aspect of red meat versus any plant food you totally ignored that. Because it is 100% correct.
Then you said that red meat is harmful without any sort of backup. Do you work for big food, big pharma, or healthcare?
Because they and the brainwashed vegans are the only ones saying that.
You follow the Lancet guidelines if you want. If high blood sugar, CVD , diabetes, obesity, IBS, Chron’s, Diverticulitis, and cancer are your goal then you do you man.
As I said above, only you know what works best for you. But just because meat doesn’t work for you doesn’t disprove anything I wrote above. Trying to assert that is very solipsistic.
Also, if you can, do explain how, if humans are not predators, then why do need zero carbohydrates to be fully nourished and healthy?
And why did humans get smaller and weaker, and more disease ridden, then they transitioned to agriculture? Why did their brains shrink relative to Cro Magnon ancestors?
I’ll posit an answer: because hunting large animals requires and selects for the highest cognitive ability and strength/coordination.
Hunting potatoes is and always has been womens work. Plants are second class food to be used when meat is scarce.

Plenty of animals eat meat without large brains or language or tools. You also need a large brain to make a fire and cook tubers and grains. You need an especially large brain to farm starch-based foods. Starch came first. Livestock can only be grown when you have excess plants. Because you have to feed them in the winter. Hunting cannot sustain a civilization. Eskimos yes. A thriving civilization, no.
If I worked for big Pharma or big food or big healthcare why would recommend a plant based diet? Lumping them in with vegans is absurd. Vegans have no love for big food or big pharma. Many of them believe there is a conspiracy perpetrated by large food and healthcare businesses with billions of lobbying dollars to keep the public in the dark about the health consequences of meat. I agree with them.
Your body needs carbs to live. The cells in your body require sugar to function. If you don’t get carbs from the food you eat your body will make its own carbs burning fat and protein. That process is called ketosis and is a very helpful survival mechanism if you don’t have access to starch. You’d be better off eating meat than starving. But you are not meant to live on meat.
I don’t know about cro magnons. I do know about people today. They are fat as fuck and sick and they eat a disgusting amount of meat, and oil, and processed food.

Wrong.
Our intestines are just like carnivores. Our stomach acids is just about the strongest in the animal kingdom 1 to 2 PH. The only critters close are scavengers. The reason scavengers evolved biologically expensive strong stomach acid is so that they can eat prey with pathogens that could also attack them. herbivores have much lower stomach acids because the pathogens of what they eat grass and such cannot attack them. even lions are lower in stomach acid then us, they exclusively eat fresh meat and dont have to support our hungry giant brains.
Starchivores have only been around since the invention of agriculture 10000 years. Only in the last 100 have we started sickening cattle by force feeding then the seeds of plants when they prefer grasses. That is why they give then antibiotics in their food. Oddly enough, dentistry became a business around the same time. Poor person obesity as well, used to be only rich people had gout. Now everyone has diabetes or “pre diabetes” even though we all dutifully cut back on saturated fat and jacked up the carbs as the McGovern commission (1980) and the food pyramid demanded/badgered.

And what are poor people eating now that only rich people used to eat? Meat. Dairy.

Almost everything BigJohn33 has said is incorrect. The comparison to animal carnivores is a false equivalency. Dogs and Bears have sharp teeth because their teeth serve not only a chewing function but also a hunting function. They attack, shred, rip and kill with their teeth. By the same argument you could point out birds who eat meat whenever they have the chance, but which also have no teeth at all and basically swallow the meat whole.
Man has never evolved to do hunting, fighting, and killing with their nails and teeth. We do not have fangs and claws. However, that has no relative influence on our diet. An even more extreme example is of Pandas who have killer teeth and eat bamboo all day.
Finally, this all is based on the conclusion that you believe that Humans are monkey descendants. Even if you believe such an uninspired and dreary genesis origin, there is strong evidence that humans have been cooking and eating meat for hundreds of thousands of years.

You got me. I believe humans are the product of evolution by natural selection. I do not believe we were created by a magic deity from dirt.
And, for the sake of argument, even if people did eat meat in the past that doesn’t change the fact that there is a lot of evidence right now that it is bad for you. Like alcohol. People have been drinking alcohol for many thousands of years. And smoking. That doesn’t make it healthy.

Yep. “Vietnam-Era” veteran. 1964 – 1975. No USMC units were in combat after 1972. This dude was born in 1955. Highly unlikely he was ever there.

I only heard he was a vet… nobody said nothing about Vietnam, as far as I know. If memory serves, the US decided to leave Vietnam in Jan of 1973, so nobody would have been sent there after that date, and probably awhile before… we weren’t officially out of there until 1975, hence the “Vietnam Era” stuff.
So unless his parents let him join when he was 17, it’s still unlikely he would have been sent over, although maybe it was possible in 1972.

I’ve been grain free for years as part of being Paleo/Ketogenic. I do not get sick anymore and my dental health is great. There is a ton of research in the nutritional world showing that our standard American/western diet, high on carbs, short on animal fats and proteins is the main cause of the massive, mushrooming diabetes plague. And think how this works for a statist gov’t that wants mass migration of carb eating undereducated trogs to slave away for corporations and be dependent on Gov’t for everything, especially healthcare.

Get a few slices of quality bacon or good marbled beef. Get a bunch of tasty root vegetables. Carrots, sweet potato, radish. Maybe a zucchini.
1. cook quickly on the stop top to get some bacon grease/seal the beef. Take the fat and pour it into a big mixing bowl.
2. Cut up all your vegetables into the bowl.
3. Add spices/sauce to veggies
4. mix in your meat (if you used bacon, cut it up into little pieces first)
5. Put your mixture into a big glass pan, cover, pop it in the oven about 350
6. After an hour, take the cover off and brown as desired.
If you have any leftovers they get better after a night in the fridge. Great with eggs as a side dish.

“There is a fairly well-established literature showing an association between gum disease and heart disease. The theory is that bacteria enter through compromised gums and get into the cardiovascular system, causing inflammation and damage to arteries.”
True. A friend of mine died at age 58 from an inflammation of the heart that was caused by the migration of bacteria from gum disease to his heart. His only symptom was a persistent back ache. His sister begged him to go to a doctor and he promised to do so, but he procrastinated long enough that it killed him. His landlord found him lying dead on the kitchen floor of his apartment. Antibiotics would have cured the infection, if only he had gone to a doctor. What a shame – he was a good man.

I am going to give you all a tip that will restore your health and literally save your life. Get this book: The Plant Paradox, by Dr Stephen Gundry. Read it, re-read it, and make it your food and diet bible. It will completely change the way you think about the food that you eat.
Over decades of time, I have read many books and scholarly works seeking the magic bullet of healthy diet. There was so much completely conflicting information and theories. Then, a few years back, I read the book ‘Wheat Belly’ by Dr William Davis. He advocates avoiding wheat altogether, and cutting down consumptoon of most other grains. He recommends a Paleo-type diet.
By doing nothing except eliminating wheat from my diet (no other dietary changes, no new exercise program) I went from 195 to 165 lbs over six months. I felt at that time that Wheat Belly and a Paleo diet were pretty much the last word.
Then I read The Plant Paradox, which came out in 2018. I was totally blown away, which is saying a lot, as I have read literally hundreds of books on diet and health. Wheat Belly is correct, but it is only a relatively small part of the overall picture. The Plant Paradox reveals that our real battle is with the harmful LECTINS that are contained in many foods that are considered ‘healthy’. The paradox is that the very plants that we need to stay alive also contain proteins called lectins that make us ill and are ultimately responsible for most of the long term illness and disease that afflicts us.
Read the book, adopt its principles, and you WILL drop the excess weight, you WILL get rid of your diabetes, heart disease, cancer, gastro-intestinal disorders, and you WILL regain the energy and vitality you had when you were younger. In short, you will become healthy again, and that is very attractive to females. Bad health has an odor, and it is repellent to women. Good health also has an odor which women can subconsciously detect, and it is attractive to them.
I have no vested interest in the book, and I have never met Dr Gundry. I am passing the tip about his book along to you guys because I know that it will do more for you healthwise than all the other books, diets, supplements, lotions, potions, etc out there.

Carbohydrates are the Deep States trojan horse. Anyways grains are very acidic, a diet that directly attacks collagen and bone mineral. The Vit C theory of scurvy is not complete, which is why it was so confusing to figure out to begin with, just a generally alkaline diet will drastically delay scurvy. Hot sun, hard work and hard tack of old sailing ships was a maxxed out scurvy(and acid)producing diet.

I am not sure why this post but yes there is clear archeological evidence that the switch to agricultural lifestyle caused propagation of dental caries. The teeth of hunter gatherers dont have as much caries if none at all.But they had miriad of other problems.
Also, there is a link between periodontal disease and heart disease but causality is not well established: there can be a causal link or they could be something esle uniting both (like smoking).

I went to the dentist last week and now need 3 crowns for 30+ year old fillings that are cracking. The good news is the dentist said the rest of my teeth are in great shape. I eat a mixture of everything from bread to all kinds of meats. I’m not big on dairy though and never eat eggs. I only brush at night and I haven’t had a cavity for decades.
My dentist wasn’t worried about any gum disease but was trying to talk me into getting checked for oral cancer. He said it’s been skyrocketing lately even among younger people in their 20’s due to HPV. I passed on the test as after he told me all of the symptoms I knew I didn’t have any.

I’ve been zero carb a year and 2 days now. Never felt or looked better in my life. Anyone who has problems staying fit, please try it. Test levels through the roof, and regardless of how much you eat, it is impossible to be fat if you don’t eat sugar and carbs (absent a preexisting metabolic condition undoubtedly caused by excess carb consumption).
Sugar and carbs are literally poison to the human body. Avoid them completely.
I’m not 100% sure of it, but I also suspect that vegetables are not only completely unnecessary, but actually detrimental in the context of a zero carb diet. All science pointing to the health benefits of vegetables has been done in the context of a carb-heavy diet, and I don’t doubt that when you’re consuming vast amounts of poison (carbs), that vegetables may have benefits. The truth is, however, that our bodies are not designed to digest vegetables. We are designed to digest meat, which is quickly liquified. You’ll never see chunks of steak in your shit like you’ll sometimes see corn and vegetable remnants.
Also it is impossible to imagine a manlier meal than a rare ribeye, sides replaced with bacon, and a glass of bourbon. Just ordering that meal raises your test levels and makes the waitress a little moist.

I was skeptical at first having been brainwashed about the need to eat vegetables and bread since the 2-3-4-4 bullshit I was taught in grade school in the 70’s. (2 servings meat, 3 dairy, 4 bread, and 4 vegetables — the brainwashing started early — back in the day before the food pyramid.).
So I took a deep dive into the subject. That lead me to the carnivore challenge.
3 weeks in tomorrow and feeling much better than my keto style diet of the last 5 years. I’ve lost 10 lbs and body fat is less. Eating, shopping, and cooking are much simpler. No macros. No complicated recipes. Just throw that steak in a cast iron pan with some bacon grease or butter. Salt, pepper and you’re eating maybe the most healthy food that exists IMO.
Saturday night I cheated with pizza and gin, and man did I feel like shit all day Sunday. Back when I ate more carbs I guess it was easier to tolerate alcohol and other poisons. Tolerance maybe?
Anyway, like so many other things in America, we’ve been lied to by the PTB about optimal nutrition for maximum profit. There’s no money in healthy people. But fat, sick, diabetic, and addicted to sugar/carbs is hugely profitable for the medical industry — about 20% of the US GDP in fact.
Once you go down the carnivore rabbit hole and really start learning about human evolution, it’s hard to come to any other conclusion except that for most of our time on tihs planet we’ve been apex predators
