I’ve got mixed views on this one mostly because I support Russia/China geopolitically and view them as the best hope for humanity over what the so called “free world” is offering. Any defeat for the US empire is a good thing but you’re right that Venezuela has a lot of problems but my understanding is that it always had problems. Chavez appears to have won multiple free and fair elections not that necessarily makes him good but it counts for something and he appears to have torpedoed an attempt to create a pan American currency and survived multiple coup attempts against him. Some of these extremely negative stories about Venezuela are likely the result of sabotage and attempts create fake headlines much like was done against the Trump campaign/presidency. At the same time the stories about crime are probably true and likely under-reported much like in the USA. Overall I prefer all sides engage in dialog/compromise over confrontation especially if the latter leads to a refugee crisis where America will be opening the border to millions of beaners escaping oppression as was done in Cuba,
