For a couple of decades, I’ve told a few trusted, like-minded friends and family members that the Left has been conducting a deliberate, purposeful civil war on a political level since the Sixties. No doubt some thought I was a bit overwrought in saying so. My view was partially based on simple observation but also on a conversation about politics that I had in the early Seventies with a fellow grad student. From Chicago, he was, it developed, an Alinsky disciple and had actually sat at the feet of the “great” man, before he died, about a year earlier. I had no idea who Alinsky was so he filled me in, including the “Rules for Radicals” (not the only book Alinsky wrote BTW). Importantly, he also said that there was a broad effort among Leftist radicals going forward to use those tactics to gain political power, eventually over the entire USA.

@Opus: I’m glad that you mentioned it first, because most people have never heard of, let alone can understand, the “Van Allen Belt” – two belts of highly radioactive particles extending out around the earth starting at about 1,000 miles high (about 20,000 miles thick, or so), making it impossible without a (if I recall) at least a solid, heavy 1-foot thick lead barrier totally encapsulating any rocket cockpit to protect the astronauts from certain death as they pass through it. Space stations, all other manned rocket flights (including all space shuttle missions) have stayed well below the 1,000-mile threshold, staying below the inner belts, and the deadly radiation.
Inconceivable with 1960s technology, shooting up in a basically unshielded cockpit, that we successfully landed men on the moon, and they made it back safely. This is why there have been no lunar landings BY ANY NATION since, even with technology today being 1,000 times more advanced??!!! The moon landing is right up there with the gas chambers and ovens of the holocaust [Holy Hoax]…many know it simply is not scientifically possible based on past (and present) technology, but afraid to publicly challenge it.

Check the specs on the moon rover’s batteries in terms of operational range, then check moon surface temps.
Check out the photos closely.. back lighting, perfect composition and focus, as well as exposure. These all taken (supposedly) by chest mounted cameras with no viewfinders. Also, note that when on the illuminated parts of the moon, surface temps would exceed what 110 film could handle.. not to mention xray radiation present on the sufface.
Any old timers remember getting their 35mm film (vacation pics) ruined by airport Xray machines?
Too many inconsistencies if you ask me.

I saw this movie wake someone up, and he wasn’t even actually watching it.
Was forced to go see the latest (((Star Wars))) movie with my family over Christmas. There was a poster in the theater lobby for Shaniqua’s Moon Math or whatever this is. My father, a man who triple majored in math, chemistry, and biology then went in to medicine, is usually the calmest person in the world, and is unfortunately only about 25% redpilled on race issues, noticed that poster and began to stare at it with the most intense combination of hate and bewilderment I’ve ever seen. I still consider Snow White (1937 ?) to be the most artistically and technically perfect feature length animation movie ever made.

IIRC, the last such feature Walt himself was personally involved in was Aristocats (1964 ?).
They managed to make a few good ones after his death, for example Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Absent-minded Professor,or The Cat from Outer Space, but the last one I recall that was actually watchable is The Rescuers.

DIsney animation of that era was flawless. I’ll still sometimes tune into YT to see some old school Donald Duck episodes.
It’s been stated that films are anthropological, so seeing a Donald Duck cartoon circa 1950s gives you a glimpse of what America once was. There’s a timeless quality about those shorts that makes me embittered at how far we’ve fallen as a society.
Back to the animation side, I’m still floored at how beautiful Pinocchio is and the multiplane technology they used at the time was quite inventive and added a rich depth to the film.

A long time ago, in the 1990s, your guy here worked at a multiplex movie theater. It was a summer job. The staff was young. About a third of us were in college and two thirds were in high school.
One of my coworkers was a woman my age. While I was in the last semesters of college, she had just finished, and the degree gave her the privilege and responsibility of being a manager (not a privilege I’d want, but anyway).
The staff of about 20 of us youngsters was an eclectic, electric mix of races and personalities, but we were all middle-class locals, and I think that was the unifying agent. Whenever as few as two or three of us were gathered together, there was the spirit of fun and youth and knowing that no matter how bad the job could get, it would be all over in time for school to start.
The woman my age was an east coast college liberal of the worst kind. You know the type. Pretended to be interested in what you thought, but only to signal her virtue when your position wasn’t as advanced as hers. Talked with a threatric shrillness, as though trying to warn others of the neanderthal in her midst. Dropped endorsements for Bill and Hillary Clinton with an embarrassing frequency.
And though you didn’t ask, I’ll tell you that she was White, with the kind of simple hairstyle and eyewear that signaled her liberalism clearly from 50 paces. If I could show you a picture, your head would nod.
She routinely attempted to goad us, her coworkers, into diclosing their views on abortion rights. At work. Yeah even the high-school kids. Her name became a punchline. But she was just, just friendly enough that it didn’t bother us too much. She was a cartoon, and when she started it up, we would usually just exchange glances before rolling our eyes.
At least two moments stand out.
One. As we were all cleaning and counting either before we opened or after we closed, a young Black fellow was goofing around with a couple of other young Black fellows behind the concession stand. I wasn’t listening, I was making our theater great again by helping clean it, but apparently the kid made some off color joke about girls and their girl parts. Imagine. A few minutes later I go to the kitchen to empty my dustpan or whatever and freeze as I find the woman has the now scared junior staffer in a corner, standing close and pointing a finger in his face, and I hear her lecturing him. I move in closer to investigate, and I hear her hissing at him “If they make another joke like that, you just say that that’s demeaning to women and you won’t stand for it!”
Two, and here’s why I’m boring you with this long story.
The multiplex is located less than an hour from Washington, DC, and while it’s in an area still composed of various incomes, races and classes, the movie theater and the shopping center that contained it were tightly focused on the local upper middle class. For example, they stopped running the city bus through it after less than a year because the bus was bringing in too many poor Blacks and it’s likely that shopkeepers were complaining. There’s probably an official reason, but that’s my observation.
One hot summer weekday the first showings were running which means the nicely air-conditioned already sparse lobby (weekday right) was nice and quiet, which gave us time to tidy up and get ready for the afternoon wave of showings. For a couple of hours the only staffers around would be me and her. The front doors and the concession stand are just separated enough that you can’t see one from the other. But you can hear.
There came from the entrances the unmistakable clamor of Black People. You know. Black People. It grew louder. Heard before seen, three lower-class young Black men appeared in the lobby. There was something threatening about them. (Don’t relax.) They were talking way too loud, as many poor people do, especially poor Blacks. They couldn’t have come this far without buying tickets at the box office, and here they were, approaching the concession stand, behind which stood your guy.
They bought quantities of popcorn and caramel colored soda, as one does. I can’t put my finger on just why, exactly, but there was something unnerving about this whole interaction. They talked too loud. There was something threatening about them, their laughter. We joke about not making sudden moves around certain people, avoiding eye contact.
As I put together their drinks and popcorn and candy and whatever, I became aware that I was alone. I started to wonder where the manager was. I thought there should be a witness if one of these unlikely guests tries something funny.
The concession stand defined one whole side of the entire rectangular lobby, and behind one end of it was the office. I happened to look around at the office end, and that’s where I caught her.
The equalist liberal feminist was hiding, literally hiding, exactly half of her face and body visible, half of it hidden in the doorway of the office, and I’m reaching for the words to describe her embarrassed smile of stupid self-awareness. I’m pretty sure this was the same look Eve had on her face when Adam said “Is there something you wanted to tell me about that fruit?”
Even though I could have used the help filling popcorn and jerking soda and ringing it up, which we routinely did for each other without asking, she stood there until the horror had passed. And you know what? The fellows may have been loud but they were all right. They paid up, I told them to enjoy the show, they went to their movie showing. I want to think that they watched the movie quietly and threw away their trash properly afterwards.
I wanted to say something to the woman, but I couldn’t think of anything. My mind reeled. I still don’t know what I could have said that she wouldn’t use to get me disciplined or fired.
Long before I witnessed liberals my age making sure their kids were in the Whitest schools they could either afford or lie to get them into, that may have been one of my most defining moments of glimpsing the gap between what liberals say and what they do.
