There does appear to be a loose parallel between jewish and Quaker histories. Both groups were (rationally) discriminated against in many economic and cultural sectors. They responded to the discrimination by pouring into the occupational fields which were still open to them: banking and industry.
The wealth each group nepotistically accrued from those endeavors allowed them to more effectively subvert the surrounding society.

It's good to visualize the geographical origin of many of the groups we discuss. Geography and group attributes are strongly associated through the process of evolution.
The Quakers originate predominately from the English Highlands. Mountain people tend to be more clannish (ethnocentric) than lowland peoples, yet the Quakers very early on developed a pacifist ideology that seems to contradict accepted theories of ethnocentric group psychology research.
It is possible Quaker pacifism was a form of group fitness behavior, by way of virtue signaling harmlessness and victimhood that would allow their group to more easily take advantage of host societies.

We should be going after the H1B program in its entirety, not just the abusers of it.

You might be surprised that Chinese people really don’t like McDonalds (and most American fast food) all that much. They think it’s a great place to hang out, but most of the older generation dislikes the trash they served as food. The millenials, however, are eating it up.
At the Olympic Games, the only thing you could eat at the venues were Mcdonalds, sausages, and pre-heated meals. And they weren’t even kind enough to offer the Chinese version of McDonalds (which is 10x tastier), to please all the whitey international tourists, they used the American version.

The U.S. rate is only 11%. Epigenetics (turning on bad genes with bad food, and turning off bad genes with certain supplements) has been proven in lab mice. Female lab mice fed certain b-vitamins and minerals that are supposed to give birth to litters prone to diabesity and cancer see this happen much less when given the right supplementation. This confirms a private theory of mine that pre-natal nutrition for a woman is more important than we even know.
Ive predicted before that our Hispanic population might see dramatic increases in obesity, diabetes, and other chronic conditions associated with internal inflammation because they inevitably are going to be indulging in the Standard American Diet (SAD). Fast food and colas will probably have similar bad effects on the Chinese. It will be mighty hard for these people to turn down the sweet-tasting-poisons that constitute our modern diet.

When I first got to China, people were still poor enough that everyone kept big piles of cabbage out in the hall for winter vitamin C, and a moldy side of smoked pork in the apartment drying room for protein (if you were middle class).
Nowadays they have a lot more money, and are getting fat. Hilarious! Oh man, would I like to go back and have a laugh at their expense after all the cracks they made about fat Americans.
Still, the women there are probably a lot thinner on average than Americans. They are generally smaller-boned to begin with, and being a fatty is viewed with some horror by the younger, single cohort (Chinese wives, OTOH, have no problem with it).

Z, it’s not just prenatal nutrition that is important to prevent epigenetic issues with diabetes. How the parents and grandparents eat for their entire lives is important.
It’s so important that when I went natural, it wasn’t just “Mom is on a diet.” It was a family thing, and I’m pushing for it to be an extended family thing too. My daughter’s a teenager and mildly rebellious, so I took her in for tests so she could see for herself what was going on, and track her progress.
Malnutrition (including being off feed, a term for being overfed on the wrong diet) can affect a person’s future children for at least a couple of generations. So it is crucially important that people maintain a natural diet for life. Many westerners just don’t know what that is.
It’s a shame to see that even though the Chinese do know what it is, they’re falling into western habits.
As someone in recovery, it hurts to see like a somewhat like watching a friend get into drugs after you’ve gotten out. I rely a lot on principles of Chinese medicine to get my health back on track. It pains me to see Chinese people ignoring it.
It’s not even like you have to starve, just not eat junk. More money should mean that a person can afford to eat more of better food.
Maybe the shortage of women means that Chinese men feel that their appearance and health is unimportant.
I would be cautious and suspicious about the veracity of projections made by western “experts”. Shysters from a dying race are not known for objectivity about others.

To add to what Nicole said, malnutrition in this country is huge. For instance, many thyroid problems are very real (I know many will disagree) and caused by an insufficient amount of the essential mineral iodine. A simple, cheap iodine supplement everyday would put many (hypo-thyroid sufferers) on the pathway to recovery from being fat and tired but doctors don’t tell people that. Either they don’t know or don’t want to know because it’s so much more profitable to screw around for a few years with non-cures then finally prescribe hormone$$$.

White, it goes deeper than iodine. Sucrose, high fructose corn syrup, non hominy treated corn, too much wheat, and a few other common foods damage the liver and thyroid in many people. Not to mention, those with recent history of starvation and of ancestries in which periodic starvation was normal, are adapted to use carbohydrates super-efficiently.
So a “healthy diet” for one person can be a sure fire recipe for diabetes for another. I recently read a news story on the fight against childhood obesity in which the mother of a Black female high school athlete put her daughter in the hands of doctors, nutritionists, and diet “experts”. They’re apparently oblivious to her needs, or afraid to lose money by breaking the party line.
The girl *gained* weight and body fat on their plan, and is talking like someone with an eating disorder. She’s like one step from binging and purging.
Sam, this issue is important to picking up chicks because where a girl might be more forgiving of legit deformities, we don’t like lazy, smelly couch potatoes any more than men do. We can deal with your receeding hairline, but if you’re too fat to be on top during sex, and don’t have a real health excuse, it’s going to be a problem.
There’s only so much you can ask someone new to put up with. “Love covers a multitude of evils,” but there are limits. I wouldn’t want to watch the train wreck of someone I seriously loved knowingly committing slow suicide.
Physical exceptions are one thing, but neglect is another. I once dated a guy who was almost 500 lbs. when I met him. He had an actual binge eating disorder, and learned to cope with it, but was still quite large when we met. He could however, move in ways that a lot of guys slimmer than him can’t, because he wasn’t lazy. He exercised, and aside of the binge eating, took good care of himself.
Women like a guy who looks like he loves himself. Guys who hate themselves take it out on their partners.
