I quit the corporate world, got SSDI, and my family is growing vegetables and raising ducks on some rural land.
Furthering my infrastructure and learning new skills… that’s about all I care to do until the shooting starts.

There used to be that weird guy selling books on applying for every type of gibs (grants, tax credits, etc), but i doubt it covered gibs-gibs. Someone needs to write that book.

Build a medical record. It’s all based on paperwork.
Get a job if ya can. One with decent short and long term disability. Work long enough to lock it in, usually a year, then exit and draw disability privately while applying for SSDI.
LEARN CONTRACT LAW. Offer and counteroffer. Acceptance and conditional acceptance. You’ll need it to handle the private insurance company.
Never sign anything after you start drawing private disability, with few exceptions. They modify the contract.
Never use their forms. Make your own.
Never let the doctor send records straight to the private ins co. Never allow the two to talk directly. Never. Only with SSDI do you do that.
Read Brian Blums book on contracts, examples and … I forget the rest. It’s on Amazon. Explanations. Examples and explanations.
With ssdi plan on getting an initial denial. Then an appeal that will get denied. Then the administrative law judge level. That’s the sweet spot. Get a disability atty at that point.
Emotional and psych is easier than physical disability. Unless you are physically disabled. Private insurance companies will hire a surveillance company. Be smart.

The funny thing is, the FBI doesn’t “charge” anybody with anything. They develop probable cause to make an arrest, the same as any police organization. The Attorney General’s office is the one that brings charges, just as a city attorney does for municipal cops.

Good work takes good effort – and good effort is never motivated by incompetent buck-passers with a gender chip on their shoulders.
