A recent social science study found that female obesity elicits disgust in people.
This study examined the relevance of disgust to evaluations of an obese target person, and the connection between disgust and prejudice toward that person. Participants (n = 598) viewed an image of an obese or non-obese woman, and then evaluated that woman on a number of dimensions (emotions, attitudes, stereotypes, desire for social distance). Compared with the non-obese target, the obese target elicited more disgust, more negative attitudes and stereotypes, and a greater desire for social distance.

Furthermore, disgust mediated the effect of the target’s body size on all of the outcome variables (attitudes, stereotypes, social distance). Disgust plays an important role in prejudice and discrimination toward individuals with obesity, and might in part explain the pervasiveness of weight bias.
It’s a good idea to not look like a monster who elicits disgust in others.

I don’t think they are getting less patriotic. The South, rural West and Midwest are the last strongholds of the America we love. If the states from North Dakota south to Texas and east to Alabama decide to take their energy and food production and refuse to let it leave via road or rail, the coasts would have a hard time surviving. Coal, oil, gas, refining capacity, corn, wheat, etc etc. Not to mention all the federal income, transportation and mineral taxes. What we need is a group of governors that will empower their state national guards to close down the domestic transport of energy and consumables until the coasts are in the dark. It’s close to becoming reality. Just need the leadership.

In the general scheme, obesity = gluttony. Gluttony is a sign of selfishness. Selfish people tend to be less focused on big-picture, national concerns. Plenty of average and thin selfish people out there, but fat is an obvious warning signs to other that you may be a selfish person. You points are good ones, Captain. Look up Lynyrd Skynyrd shows, especially Oakland, 1974 or so, I saw a video awhile back.. An ocean of skinny beautiful women, maybe 100,000 of them at that concert. Celebrating America. That is the America I went off to go defend. And I had a bunch of those women. And somewhere along the way, those women became obese and hateful and angry for no other reason than that they had the right to be obese, hateful and angry.
Whatever the patriot angle, it doesn’t matter if obese women are patriotic. What matters is if women can inspire their men to patriotic heights. Ok, so some broads go join the military because of their own feminist inspiration, even if to the detriment of the military. But if our women become fat, if they hate us, if they hate our Christianity, our values, if they choose to trample on that, what then is there for young men to defend? My instinct would be to abandon them to their fate. And I am not alone.

I was just joking with my brother about how at our old high school, the biggest problem with dating was that the girls were “too redneckish.” The school was pretty much 100 percent thin girls, half of whom were blonde, but we were annoyed because we felt they were a bit too country. It is not a great fight but it does have a handful of very generic features that I point out not just because they are very commonly seen but because I think they show the importance of having good strategies as well as good tactics or techniques.

I am torn. Fat people, and fat women in particular, absolutely disgust me. Anymore I can barely control making weird facial contortions when I see them, especially the land whale variety. I want to go Captain Ahab on them. On the other hand, the most faggy, d-bag liberals tend to be on the thin side (probably in part due to their vegetarian tendencies). That said, heavier people (especially men) who eat good by fattening foods (steaks, eggs, potatoes), and work/play hard, seem to be more conservative than the fat slobs who owe much of their weight to soda, fast food, snacks of all varieties, and no exercise – spending much of their time being keyboard jockeys, porn addicts, and video game heroes.

Yeah, but these generalised stats hide behind vagueness, and need breaking down. Why is it that when America was mostly White that fat people were scarce, and now its epidemic? How much of the fat is on White and how much is on Brown? I’m betting on Brown. Find anything darker than tan that doesn’t weigh a metric ton. Mexican girls are skin and bones when they’re young, and a ton of blubber waddling like a penguin after their first pregnancy. The black landwhale weighs an average of sixteen tons. Good thoughts, Joshua, but think about this: In the good old days of the USA (pre-1965), it was 80% White and much, much thinner; however, that was arguably the worst generation because they did nothing to stop all of the insanely radical (even by today’s standards) racial and social engineering changes being forced on them (I mean, shit, desegregation was a MASSIVE government forced experiment and barely a gunshot over it). So, if the theory is that not being fat is a sign of strength, vitality, etc., that argument it fell flat in the thin USA in the 1960s (and even well before that, if one studies history). As such, although fat is disgusting, and a sign of weakness and selfishness, I tend not to believe that there is a direct correlation between the obesity epidemic and the fall of the Nation. Obesity is a sign of weakness, and the people were already weak. The availability of more fattening, sugar-laden, GMO foods just made the weak more apt to put on the pounds. That and the increasingly non-physical desk jobs that many perform these days (or living off the public dole, which generally was not done before the 1960s in blacks or Whites), makes being obese a very survivable malady.

For example, Native Hawaiians, who used to be pretty fit and strong with their native, healthy diets, not have a 35% obesity rate (yes, 35%) and growing. They did not change, their diet did – having access to various snack foods, sugary drinks and cakes, and super fattening foods available to the general American populace. So, a thin, hard working (but weak-willed) White person with a better diet in the 1950s (not by choice, but by availability and price limitations) could easily become a fat disgusting cow in the present (especially in the last 20 years). And remember, there are probably more gyms, exercise videos, etc. now than at any point in the last 20 years. And the fat epidemic is getting worse, not better. The weak gonna be weak.

Completely agree. Moreover there is evidence of genetic greater insulin resistance in people who is now fat, but before were average. This is, in the past as famines have been common insulin resistance/obesity provides a insurance against food depletion, by storing fats and doesn’t burn sugars so fast. I’m sure that low will/iq people were the most benefited from that, as they had less food supply stability. But now their low will and food excess is clear disadvantage. With the benefits of being medically healthy and socially appealing overwhelm the short term satisfaction of eat too much

Type II Diabetes is mostly a mechanical problem from the blood sugar sensors on the pancreas being covered in fat and no longer functioning normally. Lose the weight and the Diabetes goes with it.

When you work hard all day, you can eat like a horse and have to. In the South, the big meal used to be Dinner, which was a big hot meal at noon. Supper was the evening meal. My farming relatives could eat 3000 calories a sitting and never put on weight.

Obesity as you see now was rare, about one in 10,000 or fewer. You could literally go for years in a place now plagued with obesity and not see anyone grossly overweight. Old men might have a belly and old women a bigger butt but it was well within normal constraints. These people have handicapped themselves.

I also think that if you live in a condo community, having fat neighbors brings property values down. People coming to look at property assume lowlifes live there when they see lumbering fatasses because being fat is associated (correctly) with lack of education and achievement.
It becomes an embarrassment when you’re getting a real estate agent to show your property and there’ some Fat Bluto Fuck outside smoking and a woman who can barely walk because she’s so morbidly obese. This sends a very different message to buyers than if you have a tennis hottie running to her car with a racket or a well-toned guy in a nice suit.
