I've made this point as well. If there is an issue that can unite left-wing and right-wing White, it is opposition to Orwellian surveillance.

I am reminded of warning my brother when he moved in with his then girlfriend, now wife, that doing so put him in a high risk group–that according to Focus on the Family, the rate of domestic violence was 3x higher. Something happened about ’98-’01 that brought married with children in line with married w/o children. After a steep drop, the single mother violence rate levels off about the same time, then falls again to a minimum around ’05. The “one female adult” violence rate appears to be trending down, overall, while “other” seems pretty flat – I assume that excludes single man and single father homes since the chart is about violence against females. Considering single moms as a class, and seeing these rates, one wonders, is the status the problem, or are there factors that create the status and thereby predispose women who appear to attract violence to also become single moms. Is there a way to filter out that noise from the dataset?
As an aside, I’m home with my sick boy today on account of his absent mother and sister. Another day when little work gets done and no significant income gets earned, but at least I get some nap time before the overtime that necessarily follows. And since it’s just me and the boy at home, our (non-)violence won’t get reported at socially significant.

This is it. I dated a single mom in my early twenties. Worst mistake of my life, it ended with us literally throwing punches at one another.

He makes babies with her to keep her trapped.

I think a lot of you are “jumping the gun” on this data. I take the categories rather literally, “one female adult with children”, and subsequently, go with the whole “single mom” thing in the way it is politically correct. Do not necessarily assume that “single mom” means “never married with children”. It also incorporates divorced women. Inevitably both groups, ‘divorced females with children” and “never married with children”, constitute women in combative, antagonistic relationships with men.
The wars over money, custody, child support, anger over visitation, over post-marital relationships between divorcing and divorced parents inevitably lead to more relationship strife and violence than the other relationship statuses.
Likewise this “never married with children” category can have aspects that also lead to confrontation. This women is imposing children on a man that does not wish a traditional relationship with her and she is going to fuck with this man. She feels she is owed work, time, money, support from this man. If he is engaged with the child, she feels she can fuck with him over visitation if she wants to and if he isn’t engaged then she can fuck with him over that.
What this data does do is that it flies in the face of the horseshit sold to me in college sociology classes that “domestic violence” is about “those men” wanting to “control” those women, those jealous men that beat their wives in order to keep them subdued. What is going on here is this woman is in the face of the man, be it a husband she is has separated from or some man that she is sticking with a child. She is assaulting, combative, belligerent, and bellicose. And she is quick to provoke him and equally quick to extract retribution by picking up the phone and calling the police. Or she is provoking him and arguments ensue to the point that neighbors call in the police.
If you superimpose a chart with birth rates over this chart, you will see a falling birthrate corresponding to the drops in the level of incidents reported. Note the drops during the recessions in 2004-2004, and uptick as the economy recovered, 2005-2007, and also easy money second mortgages were available to women, as well as the drop during the Great Recession 2007-2009. The slight rise since 2009 is probably due to some lag in the effect of the recession on family breakup. Men have not really gone back to work, at least during the time frame shown in the data 2009-2010, and women were probably giving them enormous shit over not coming across with the cash.
This data to me shows one thing. Bitches gonna be bitches. The next CH post after this one asks “who is more manipulative, men or women?”. Abortion seems to be the new normal in my corner of the world (Bulgaria – if Europe were a theme park, this would be the house of horrors). More abortions than births and 60% births out of wedlock. Throw in gypsoes at 4.8 kids/mother and a High School graduation rate of 0.5%. Within 20 years this place will be a hole in the ground.

Single mothers live together with men that are not the fathers of their child(ren). That is the problem, genetically these children are “in the way” for a new reproduction … the mothers are targeted for that and nothing else.
many of those statistics are rather suspect, there are a few authoritative articles that explain that reports of violence and homicide by women against men are suppressed both in scientific research and in the legal system.
However some depressing statistics are not fully suppressed: in some “advanced” countries children under 1 year of have suffer a homicide rate 4 times higher than women (and men twice as high as women).
It is easy to imagine which gender is more likely to perform post-birth abortions of so many babies, but this is not mentioned in most statistical reports.
So what’s the gray dashed line in the graph then? Lesbians?
