Also, it seems that the greater the percentage of diversity rises, the more separate people become. I have observed a visible phenomenon with local high school football teams and their corresponding cheerleaders. A school less than 50% black will have a team that generally matches the school’s demographics. Once a school crosses the 50% black mark, the white portion of the team shrinks more rapidly than their share of the school population. Once a school hits the 75% black mark, the football team becomes 96%+ black. A team can go from 60% down to 3% white in a matter of 4 years, I’ve seen it happen. The funny thing is this doesn’t apply across all sports. The soccer, wrestling, and baseball teams can still have white majorities in a mostly black high school. I even saw a large high school that was only 20% white school with an nearly all white baseball team win the state championship. But that school had no white players on the football team. I wonder how this dynamic can be scientifically studied.
