Except for the period of enlightened absolutism in the 19th century through to the Revolution, Russia never had good government. Even this period of government was rife with corruption and serfdom or its traumatic after effects. It has always been run locally by corrupt officials and has been more or less a kleptocracy itsd entire history. If the Russian Empire had had good government, they would have a standard of living beyond our wildest dreams given the nation’s treasure. Ukraine is really the same way. You have to ask the right questions. Local women are going to be used to it and behave in a way that keeps them out of trouble most of the time. It’s stupid American women who often run afoul of the wrong kind of guys or do the wrong thing and get into trouble.
Here in Israel, sometimes there are problems because girls who are hanging out with Jewish or at least second and third generation, don’t know how to behave around first generation or Christian or non/anti religious. Yesterday afternoon Margaret Thatcher (RIP) died.
It reminded me of when western leaders kicked ass 360′. UK: Maggie; USA: Reagan; France: Mitterand; Germany (west): Kohl; Ireland: Haughey & Fitzgerald.

I do know it and I agree with you in that regard but:-
(1) remember that France’s entire body politic is state-run in a way that freaks out Brits and Irish, let alone Americans. Mitterand had to stay in that paradigm, y’know?

Putin’s body-language is good for short guys to learn from. It’s very alpha, dominant and authoritative. One of the bad habits short guys tend to do is lean way up to hear taller people or look up at them from the side like they’re a little side-kick etc. A few of my regular wings are 6’2-6’5, so at 5’9″ I’m the runt of that group, but I never “lean in” to hear them. I always let them lean down to talk to me.
I project my voice (speaking from the diaphragm) so they can hear me over the music instead of my having to lean in. And ideally I’ll stand to their side so that they turn to face me while I just listen from the side. All this body-language stuff helps balance out my value with theirs as the short guy of the group.
Also none of it comes across as dickish as it sounds in writing lol it’s all very natural in the moment but its something I had to purposely consciously train when I started hanging around these guys.
Was a picture on here a while back of Putin meeting with a much taller biker gang leader or something. I noticed that in that picture, Putin did not cock his head up to meet the taller man’s gaze. Rather, he kept his head level and only raised up his eyes. Looked badass.
I’m 5’9 too and always do the head cock thing when I’m looking up at tall guys. Not cute?

Obama’s apology for that comment is more a reflection of the prevailing feminist PC culture pervasive in our media, rather than him not having balls. Political and PR requirements compelled him to apologize after the fact, but clearly he ad-libbed the line and delivered it with natural charisma. I’d say it took balls for him to make such comment at a televised public event. It certainly wasn’t scripted – his staff would certainly have advised against it. Say what you will of his politics, but Obama is a cocky motherfucker going back to his Harvard days. Our puritanical political culture and free press prevent our political leaders from showing the type of macho/masculine displays that you see other worlds leaders like Putin do. Our electorate (hypocritically) holds leaders accountable for doing normal human things like having sex or staring at a set of tits. Putin faces no such constraints in Russia.
