Inspector General David Horowitz released a new report on the investigation of the FBI’s conduct leading up to, and during, Trump’s presidency.
In addition, during the OIG’s forensic examination of FBI mobile devices that were used by the two employees, the OIG discovered a database on the mobile devices containing a plain text repository of a substantial number of text messages sent and received by those devices.
Neither ESOC [Enterprise Security Operations Center] nor the vendor of the application was aware of the existence, origin, or purpose of this database. OIG analysis of the text messages in the database compared to ESOC productions of text messages during the same time periods when the collection tool was functional identified a significant number of text messages found in the database that were missing from the ESOC production.
The OIG discovered a database of text messages stored in plaintext on the cell phones of Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. The FBI, ESOC, and software vendor didn’t know about, or authorize, this database.
The “missing text messages” requested by the OIG that the FBI claimed were missing because of a technical glitch? They’ve been found.

If neither the ESOC nor the app vendor was aware of this database, then [who] coded it and managed to push it to the phone? To [whom] was this database sent? What else have [they] received?

A salute to Judicial Watch, which is leading the fight in these battles with their numerous FOIA requests and lawsuits against various governmental entities when documents are not handed over, or when document production is clearly disingenuous.
