Springboarding off this post by AE, I remembered a funny little thing I saw recently at a traffic light. Two pickups were idling in adjacent lanes. The drivers were White men. The driver on the right had his arm dangling out of the window, lightly slapping against the door. He looked over at the other driver and made a very unmistakeable OK sign and smiled. The other guy laughed and nodded, which I was able to see through the windshield glare.

It may have been nothing. Just two dudes who may or may not know each other passing an innocent greeting between them.

I often wonder if they’re some fellow shitlords at my work. It it not entirely outside the realm of possibility, but the probability of it is something else

I sneak in some mild realtalk now and then. You can see the wheels turning about but then they realize it’s counter to their programming and don’t know what to do.

Alas, you always get the store-bought answer to many things.

Still, it’s fun to be that “man” that goes there, unapologetically to boot.

If you do office work be extremely careful, its simply not worth it and nothing you say will sway them. I dropped a very mild joke in response to a torrent of shitlibbery and the incident was recalled to me several months later because someone was “offended.” Theres a time and place to drop realtalk but the office in a blue city is not the place, until you put in your two weeks.

  5. Fantastic.

I see TRUMP/PENCE bumper stickers on vehicles in the DeeCee area and I want to acknowledge my fellow MAGA Men, but there hasn’t been a surefire way to do so.

    Until Now.

  6. The hand sign looks a bit like the Eye of Horus which has some appropriate attributes.

FWIW, it’s more likely it’s The Game. Making a circle with your fingers down low is one way to make someone lose The Game.

However, I’m all for NPCs going nuts thinking it is racist.

Christians used to cross their fingers to make a kind of ichthys to signal to other Christians who they were.

The OK gesture is the ichthys for shitlords.

What? Kids and immature adults have been doing that for decades. If they get to to look at the finger circle below the waist they punch y-

I mean, this is actually a dastardly alt right racist hand signal that stands for “11%” aka whites are only 11 percent of the global population and are going to violently increase that number by any means possible

I didn’t believe it until a few days ago at an intersection, I waved a biker through ahead of me. An older one with the grey beard, leather jacket and everything. He flashed the down low “OK” at me with a nod as he rolled past. Then I thought, maybe this is really out there.

I like the spirit of it, but its a fake. Look at his other hand and the entire scene it has a diffuse / matte look & lighting. That hand is bright and crisp by comparison.

Again, like the idea though! But a sharp eye can detect these things. My gen Z nephews are total shitlords and WOULD flash the WP symbol though which is why I said it almost doesn’t matter if its real or not because they are out there!

The kid was picking at his cuticle. People do it all the time. I once had a client that had a habit of plucking out his own eyelashes. Quite unconsciously, it seemed. Or maybe, since he was the assistant, had a habit of doing it while his boss was doing the talking.

In any case, the kid is picking at his cuticle. Put away the Reynolds Wrap® lefty, before someone gets hurt!
