This reality, imo, is one of the factors for the seeming inability of Whites to collectivize against mass nonwhite invasion. The other is jews.

These two factors together — jewish subversion and White greed — are the anchors holding back a Racial Socialist realignment in the US.
Greed and status insecurity are two of the defining vices of collapsing empires, as the native stock realize the good times are ending and it will soon become a mad dash to pick clean the bones of the once-proud nation.
These vices are a consequence of the loss of religion and faith, which themselves are the consequence of spiritual enervation and nihilistic escape after generations of prosperity. Spiritual confidence keeps in check both jewish ethnocentrism and Gentile materialism; when the spirit of a nation's race has withered, the jackals come out to feast on the husk.
