Indeed you don’t. And to expand on something I said a few weeks ago… the position of the SCOTUS here is very interesting.
They will have to uncuck themselves if they intend to have a life after this (as “respectable” cucks, naturally).
There are two basic reasons that the scotus remains a “respected” institution.
1) the american right remains basically “constitutionalist” in outlook.
2) the american left uses it as a policy instrument.
But everyone knows that as far as the court’s continued legitimacy and autonomy is concerned, reason two is entirely parasitic on reason one.
Rule for Trump, and leftists get sore about 2 for a while, but inevitably they will come around. They have to.
Rule against Trump and sooner or later the left realizes that packing you into being a vestigial organ is much preferable to playing constitutional footsie in perpetuity. And of course the right loses its constitutionalist orientation real goddamned fast.
Yeah, the right THEN will form a second secessionist movement for real, but by that point you will be a potent as a virgin wallflower at a drunken frat party of powerchads.
The question: are these folks keen-eyed enough to see this? I say Thomas and Alito are. Kavanaugh, probably. After that, I wouldn’t count on anything.
Pedo Roberts is a lost cause, Gorsuch could very well take this as an opportunity for a boy scout speech, ACB… who the hell knows, really. And obv the three leftists will vote against us.
I rate our chances at 50/50.
