All tea leaves point to a massacre of the GOP in the upcoming midterms. That won't be news. Instead, I'd keep an eye on a couple of stats. One, how are White men voting, especially the under-50s? Two, what is the turnout among White voters for either the Ds or Rs?
I suspect we will see a big drop in White turnout for Rs, a smaller drop or stasis in White turnout for Ds, a huge increase in nonwhite turnout for Ds, and a massive increase in White votes for independent candidates, whether right or left wing.
Trump's hispanic advantage will disappear, and hispanics will go back to voting D, just as I predicted.
