There’s a french guy (stéphane édouard on youtube) who theorized the “proximity effect”. I think he calls it the “closed environment” effect or something like that. By that, he means like “you work in the same company and spend some time together professionally” or any kind of such interactions, that are not based on the will to be together, just the circumstances.
In such environment, the woman probably mistakes the closeness of your “relationship” for some kind of intimacy. I’m not familiar with this guy’s theory, but I’ve seen something like that unfold around me. A lot of relationships started because the people were having a kind of “both of us on a deserted island” effect. These relationships would never had happened if there was at least someone else on the island. And usually, the environment gets opened (like when they see each other outside of this specific environment, or someone new get introduced in it) and the relationship goes to shit.
I think guys are also like that to some extense (that’s how you get oneitis). For example in high-school, It got fixated on the hottest girl of my class. I thought she was hot. Just happened that when I went out of highschool, I realize she was just ok. I was not judging “universally”, but on what was available right here in my closed environment.
Women are easily mistaken on this. On both ways actually. First they’ll think the beta feminist of the hour is their “man of my life”, until they are out of their “closed environment” and are able to make a valid comparison. On the other side of the intimacy deficiency spectrum; they’ll take a neg for an intimate intrusion in their real self, because for them it takes intimacy to read people, to the point of believing “we shared something special” when it is all done and forgotten…

About 6 months ago I went out with group of friends. We all had a little too much to drink and one of my buddies is drowning in blue pill white knighthood. One of the girls I had not really ever had a chance to talk to in the past spent most of the evening shooting jabs at each other all night. I considered it playful shit testing being given and taken. My buddy has had a huge crush on her for years but never done anything about it. Him and I end up getting into it after way to many drinks, he says I’m being an asshole and I’m saying we are just fucking around. I dont remember exactly how all of the conversations went down but he apologized the next day for getting angry, and I saw her like 4 days later where she mentioned it was funny and sweet that he did that. We have a good laugh.
Fast forward to last Thursday, this same group of friends get back together and this girl and I are both giving my friend shit for leaving early and she starts spitting some guilt on him to stay longer and I turn to her and say, wow, that’s some impressive manipulation there. I should stay away from ya. (big smile). She says, yeah, i’m good but I this wouldn’t work on you. You’re an asshole. (Smile) You know the first time we really hung out, you said to me “I’ve seen better, but I’ve also seen worse!” (I had two thoughts, 1 that’s hilarious I wish I would have remembered saying it and why. 2 that was six months ago. I bet the hamster spun overtime with that.

All I remember from a Peterson clip that was posted as some sort of victory debate ’round chere some months ago was Peterson saying he schooled women in how to be more assertive so as to narrow the “pay gap”.
The irony thing was, some yegg posted the video debate as Peterson “destroying” some shitlib princess about how the pay gap was false…
… sure, he shot down the current misinformation on several reasons for the gap, but his summary stance was that the pay gap was a bad thing, and women should be more assertive in order to narrow one of the main reasons.

Peterson has his blind spots and errs on the side of using “minimal necessary force” in his arguments.

CD, it really does seem to be amazing how many coup1es fail to sit down and have an honest heart-2-heart conversation as to what exactly m@rried life is gonna entail [prior to actually getting m@rried].
I can’t imagine m@rrying a chick without first being firmly convinced that she’s on board with 100% home schooling, 100% home cooked natural meals [no processed food], daily cardio exercise for the ch!ldren, living in the countryside rather than in a development, etc etc etc.
Of course, having that honest conversation would likely devastate & obliviate an yuuggge percentage of all relationships [which is maybe why thirsty dudes don’t have the conversation?].

I think I read on Rollo or prolly Dalrock that one way to find out about your girl’s thoughts on m@rriage are to ask her what she’s looking forward to about getting hitched.
If her reply is about all the showers and gifts and the w3dding itself (re: party) and the hon3ymoon, then drop her right there.

You are absolutely right. Most guys are only thinking of the money she will make and in some areas you need to have both working to afford a house. Most men beg for pussy anyway and you have a subset of wives who insist on working. I recently did an audit of our child care center and I was amazed at how many non-working mothers still put their kid in daycare. I think that is criminal.
