Between Two Ferengi

I walked past a couple of piss-stained dindu street bums — a man and woman, from whom I could see the foul odor emanating — shouting at each other in their native patois. She was yelling through plump piehole labia, “…women are a den of snakes. I’d take a gay man without a working penis as a friend before a woman…”. She trailed off as I left them behind. Street theater at its finest.

Say what you will about dindu street bums, they are often more entertaining than anything Challahwood or TV puts out. As long as you don’t have ringside seats to catch the spittle.

Within the last year or so, some wise sage chez Le Chateau was saying that a woman would burn an entire civilization to the ground if it would ensure that she lived in a nicer grass hut than any of the other women.

I believe Plato made a similiar observation, that theyre happy as long as their cave is slightly nicer than their neighbor’s.

As our society continues to devolve into R-Selected savagery, I suppose you could deploy Meta-Game so as to Meta-Agree-&-Amply her volley of “Let’s you & him fight” and hit it back to her as a volley of “Let’s you & her fight”.

Within your social circle [or at work, or at some volunteer do-gooder organization, or wherever], you could chat up some prey and convince her to help you instigate a third-party game of “Let’s her and her fight.”

yeah and they would rather live in shit with an alpha than a mansion with a beta. Doesn’t mean they won’t do the latter, but they will always have that gnawing compromise trying to eat its way to the light

Great novel, CO. 19th century frenchies actually knew what was up. Along those lines:

“When one woman strikes at the heart of another, she seldom misses, and the wound is invariably fatal.”
        – Valmont

        and

“No matter how much power a man accrues, he requires a woman to set against another woman.”
        – Balzac (A Harlot High and Low)

Makes me wonder if it’s all cyclic or destined for total collapse i.e. modern day France.

FE, you could argue that [at least upper-crust] France has had soft R-Selection for centuries now, where it was understood that a gentleman had an official w!fe for financial & political purposes, and at least one unofficial mistress [at all times] for whom he might harbor actual feelings.

My favorite line from the book is when Valmont is chiding his manservant about the latter’s qualms whether he can convince the maidservant of Valmont’s target to, if memory serves, steal the key to key to her mistresses’ quarters.

Valmont says something like “Well, you’ve already seduced and had the maidservant, so what’s the problem?”

The manservant replies: “When we seduce them into bed, we’re only convincing them to do what they already want to do.”

Valmont considers the wisdom of his man and comes up with another plan.

R-Selection necessarily MASCULINIZES women, because under R-Selection, women have to FIGHT their way into an Alpha’s harem.

[CH: we see the evidence of this all around us. r-selected dystopias like africa are full of masculinized women. K-selected utopais like europe have feminine women. as a culture’s women become more or less masculine, that culture is likewise becoming more or less r-selected.]

You could pretty much state it as a foundational premise of Evopsych that you have “Femininity if and only if K-Selection” [i.e. monogamy].

Most likely have to amend that to Eastern Europe by now. Along with places like Japan.
