and i think the women who drive those do look down on the stay at home minivan or station wagon types because there is no reason why most of them would even need to drive something like that. minivans may be ugly but they are the most practical choice if you’ve got kids.
there shouldn’t be shame associated with getting a vehicle that shows that being a good mom is your priority. we all know why that is and it’s sad.
also, there are crossover vehicles that are an upgrade to the station wagon if they want those. the only reason women drive SUVs is so they can send a message that they can do everything themselves and don’t need a man. it’s also to tell everyone that they are more than ‘just’ a mother because they think that would be a tragedy.

A good argument can be made that the decades that when the effects of this were finally felt in the ’40s and ’50s, America had its best years. The 1924 Immigration Act has its own Wikipedia page. I’d like to see people blog about it.

I wasn’t born in the 50’s either, but everyone I know that lived through them, has nothing but good things to say about it.
It’s quite sad to see how modern America has degenerated so much in contrast to those times. They weren’t perfect times, but they just seem so much more civilized, and happier than in the modern world. There are lots of educational videos from the 1950’s on youtube (the advice they give is just as good today, as it was then), and it’s remarkable to see how many positive, wholesome, expectations there where for people to strive for.
