I think a good exam should have a class average of 50%. That doesn’t mean you can’t give an A for a score of 30%, but the exam should have a range of questions that (relevantly) distinguishes the different levels of performance with as much granularity as possible.
On such an exam, you can see who gets 85 and who gets 95, they would both get 99 on a typical exam but for e.g. grad school recommendations you want to see who can approach the difficult problems with some success.

Part of the push to lionize single motherhood is to pretend that the poor etc are equal to the upper classes. Single mothers are good mothers and are somehow just victims of society in their narrative. In the days of old when our concept of seeing single mothers as shameful was developed, single mother meant mother of a bastard child. There wasn’t such a thing as a mother who then divorced the father of her children. This latter invention is usually bad, but it’s not the reason why we think of single motherhood as shameful.
Part of the leftoid thrust to lionize single motherhood is to pretend that being married when you have children is the same thing as being single when you have children. But its not. On average, children of people who stay married turn out better than children of the divorced. But children of the divorced turn out better than children of the never married.
On the other hand, nobody would have imagined that the mother would dump the father once there were kids in the home. If women are really this damned hypergamous, then our social mores were remarkably successful at keeping them under control for the good of society.

1. I met this one girl at a pub night hosted by my university. Got her number not long before winter break. During the winter break the girl started texting me and asking me rapport seeking questions about myself. I answered them straight, figuring she was interested. Shortly before New Years eve, she sent me an invite to a party she was hosting at her place with her roommates. I told her I wasn’t sure if I could go because I was thinking about making plans with my friends to do stuff, and told her that I’ll let her know if it pans out a bit later. She sends me another text, asking me to confirm whether Im gonna come or not. I repeated what I said earlier. New Years eve comes, and I go to hang out with my friend to a club. Around closing time, my friend and I got bored and decided we’d visit the party. When we arrived the party was very tame (everyone was sitting around and talking) but the girl who invited me spent all her time with my friend and I. I couldn’t escalate (or maybe I was afraid? didn’t know how?) so I didn’t do much but talked. We remained there for an hour and my friend drove me home (I don’t have a car of my own and he lives near me — so I was dependent upon him for rides no way to leave him). Recently my friend was having a birthday party and I texted the girl to come, saying that we should grab drinks at her place afterwards saying that her friend has a birthday party and she promised to come.She hasn’t engaged me for a while, so i’m wondering where I went wrong and what (if anything) I could do?
2. I thought it would be interesting to try to use the apocaplypse opener around campus. I tried twice to use the apocalypse opener on girls. The first time I was shitting my pants (was afraid I’d get arrested or something) but I asked the girl directly “I want to fuck you”.
