everybodyhatesscott machine gunned,
The millennials turned out exactly how’d you’d expect a generation raised by the most selfish generation in history to turn out.
Cocooning, pathologically selfish, vapid, entitled, attention whoring, phony, emotionally stunted, socially maladjusted androgynes. There is your Millennial Generation. God help America.
***
Runner-up COTW winner is ho (a handle so simple, yet so demanding of your attention), responding to a representative for the Obamacare ad campaign claiming people are hating on the ads because MISOGYNY,
“People tend to get upset when women are portrayed as independent.”
If you need other people’s money to get birth control, YOU ARE NOT INDEPENDENT.
Stupid fucking cunt.
That last line may seem overkill, but no, really, it was necessary. Brazen stupidity in service of transparently selfish ends is not to be tolerated with even the slightest veneer of polite disagreement. Hammer blows to the head only. Preferably clawed side first.

We’re about due for a societal reset. Stand by for heavy seas.
A crimson tide. Roll tide.
Gotta school the young’uns on the classics:
I’m not going to lie; I pretend the Chateau is written by Addison DeWitt.
It fits.
One ad stated something like,”I am so glad being a woman is no longer a pre-existing condition.” urgetokillurgetokillurgetokill……
“We’re about due for a societal reset. Stand by for heavy seas.”
Oh, Christ, the same ponderous, self-important pronouncements by people expert on exactly-nothing- based on their “feewngsss”.
You think like a girl.
The millennials turned out exactly how’d you’d expect a generation raised by the most selfish generation in history to turn out.
Let’s not forget to give proper credit to the “greatest” generation which produced the most selfish generation in history.
Cocooning, pathologically selfish, vapid, entitled, attention whoring, phony, emotionally stunted, socially maladjusted androgynes. There is your Millennial Generation.
All the better for our contrast. Give me a thousand men and we will flip it back in a generation. It has never been about the preponderance of numbers, but sheer testicular fortitude from those who have “lives, fortunes, and sacred honor” to give. Besides, “one man with courage makes a majority.” Despair is for women.
Matt
The world steps aside for a man who knows where he’s going.
He’s going to be a laughing stock. Even Dalrock got bored of this clown.
It’s literally true that the world steps aside for a man who knows where he’s going. Walk with purpose and the expectation that people are going to get out of your way, and they part like the Red Sea. I figured this out all the way back in high school.
Dominating a herd of people is easy. Would that it were so easy to dominate the individual pretty girl. I suppose it is, in principle, but thus far not in practice.
Like Rizzo?
the boomers had to redefine manhood because they couldn’t compare to their fathers.
Not bad… contender for comment of the week.
But to tell the truth, even the Dad’s might have been carrying the flaw within… you don’t get bitter grapes from a good vine.
Fast example: the oft-touted Greatest Generation had the balls to “make the world safe for democracy” (ha!), but somehow couldn’t make a stand when it came time to protect their own children and grandchildren from the onslaught of ebonics and pidgin Spanish.
And to be honest… it really doesn’t take as much balls as they’re given credit for, considering most of the victory was achieved through superior odds in the field and massive destruction (along with it’s handmaiden, collateral damage) from the air… all the while one’s own homeland (for all intents and purposes) safe and secure.
The “””Greatest Generation””” was the one that went to go fight alongside the Soviet Union.
Like being greatly outnumbered in the Pacific? Don’t forget that most of our forces were destroyed by the Japanese in the Pearl Harbor attack. Then, we had to attack them on well fortified positions.
And the German war machine was one of the greatest fighting forces in history. And again, we had to attack well fortified positions.
I agree that the “greatest generation” wasn’t so. But don’t be stupid.
The wars they fought were brutal in their own way. Each full-scale war that has been waged has seen horrific and inhuman acts perpetrated by both sides. And each is one that most could un-wish having happened.
I also agree that our victory was never assured, at least until we had The Bomb.
Relevant to Pearl Harbor:
http://img2.owned.com/media/images/1/2/9/3/12935/asian_drivers_540.jpg
Bullshit… our naval and air power pwned the Japanese, once we got our feet under us after the (ahem) surprise attack.
And man-for-man, the Germans might have been a great fighting force… but by the time we got after ‘em, they were spent and spread out way too thin… and I believe we invariably outnumbered them in each and every major campaign.
And then there’s those 1000 plane raids and such in the final years of the war, many of which were virtual milk-runs.
Stupid yourself.
You are too hard on the Greatest Generation. They survived appalling poverty in the Depression. Appalling destruction in WWII. Most men ages 17-40 were in the military. For example, the loss rate in the Air Campaign over Europe was over 50% KIA. We lost over 70,000 men in that effort alone. At Okinawa, basically WWI trench warfare, we lost about 13,000 KIA. In one battle alone. When the Japanese were essentially whipped.
The Greatest Generation saw real horror. Stuff you and I cannot imagine. Like best friends cut in half by a shell and screaming as they died, or little kids burnt by flamethrowers in a cave. So they wanted to protect their kids.
Pardon me, apologist, if numbers like 13K and 70K don’t impress, after things like Dresden and Hiroshima.
Yep. The “greatest generation” wasn’t even the greatest generation. The generations that fought the revolutionary war and civil war sacrificed more and did more to build this nation than the “greatest generation.” The USA became the largest economy in the world decades before they were even born.
The “greatest generation” only seems that way because we’re comparing them to the generations that followed. And, like PR points out, none of our generation even compare. We’re boys comparing ourselves to men. So they seem to tower above us like the immortals.
“Give me a thousand men and we will flip it back in a generation”
Ok, I’m in. Now there are two of us. 998 more to go.
This cult of the Greatest Generationn has got to stop.
They sold out Eastern Europe, lost China, drew in Korea, abandoned Vietnam, pioneered no-fault divorce and abortion, rigged up the Ponzi scheme of the great society (cheers LBJ) and nearly lost the Cold War.
Hell, spawning the Boomers is probably the least of their crimes
Word!
I agree. I actually respect the Boomers more than the Worst Generation. The Boomers didn’t age genocidal war on their honorable and heroic cousins in Europe on behalf of sinister aliens. The real Greatest Generation were the European men who fought these raping murdering Red Army auxiliary Anglo-American war criminals.
Should read “The Boomers didn’t wage genocidal war on their honorable and heroic cousins in Europe on behalf of sinister aliens.”
“The Boomers didn’t wage genocidal war on their honorable and heroic cousins in Europe on behalf of sinister aliens.”
True, but the Boomers were fully co-opted by the sinister aliens into waging the Cultural War within their own countries.
That has been a longer term project, and one that will be more genocidal in outcome than the wars of the twentieth century.
“People tend to get upset when women are portrayed as independent.”
translated to American English: “I’m a fattie”
Or, in this instance, independent meant “I’m free to be a slut and have men F&C me.”
independent from husbands and families.
dependent on government instead.
So are you saying that Generation X is the most selfish generation? Or are you saying that Millenials were raised by the Boomers?
“Generation X” slipped through the cracks. That’s why they are “X.”
Advent of widespread contraception, abortion, homemakers’ shift to the workplace. Better known as the Divorce Generation. They were stillborn from the first.
Whatever cultural influence they may have had over the Millennials disappeared under the obese shadow of The Boom.
Well, Generation X gave birth to me, and I came out alright — but then, I never really knew my Boomer grandparents. A lot of my peers DO have boomer parents, though I don’t think it’s fair to say that millenials in general are the product of boomers.
Gen X did not give birth to you unless your mom is younger than 40
my mum’s 43. born 1970. Her parents were born in the Baby Boom, as were my dad’s parents.
ok just barely made it ur right
I vote for latch- keyism too. All of their relationships were more tenuous with their parents because of divorce or both parents working.
Not completely true. As a bleeding edge Millennial, Gen Xers were my immediate role models. To this day I’m much more similar to gen x than my own generation, simply because they were who I worked with and played football with when I was young.
The Greatest Generation didn’t do the best job of passing their culture on. Then again, it is hard to pass along the wisdom and sterness that will be created by a childhood of poverty followed by war when you are creating the greatest boom in wealth the world has ever seen.
As poorly as the Greatest passed along their values, the Boomers multiplied its effects hundred-fold by rejecting every bit of it at Universities and rock concerts. What they did retain, they did not pass on to Gen X or the Millennials.
Fair points, one and all.
can see this in my own family. my grandparents underestimated the effect that an increasingly “messaged” culture had on their boomer kids when they had been taught by example in small groups with proper social control.
my generation is polarized greatly…….a real split between those that choose to be governed and those that govern. it seems to follow along the lines of racial boundaries too. or maybe its r/K selective based on resource allocation, dunno.
I see it very much in my own family as well, and I grew up with both parents and a stay-at-home-mom.
How old are you? My money’s on 40 +/- 3. The Baby Boomers have really pissed off a significant percentage of Generation X men. We’re the first ones to hit middle age seeing the horrible trajectory our society’s on, while personally remembering how it used to be.
late 30′s
…..but the girls stay the same age……;)
Heh.
I’m 36 and I can’t remember how it used to me. Life has been steeped in feminism since my early childhood. Even in kindergarten girls were favored in every way. I suspect this would have been different had I been just five years older.
I’m 10 years older than you. You are correct, it was different. The Femi-Change was fast and furious. I wish I could share the world that used to be with you, bud.
I’m 29. I never even had a chance to know the world before the Femi-Change.
Yep. I’m almost 10 years older and grew up on the country. It was different and better, but the irony is that women were happier and stronger. A common saying was that “If mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.” I can still remember listening to my grandma pouring scorn on the feminists and how they were going to ruin everything for women. Feminism has been a disaster for men and society, but it’s also been bad for women.
I’m 41. You are correct.
I look at my young son. Sometimes I fear he doesn’t have a chance, other times I feel he faces an opportunity for potential I could only dream of. It’s always darkest before dawn.
The boomers passed along the values of earlier Americans precisely because they rejected those values wholesale. In doing so they abandoned their own children to raise themselves, thus creating a generation that basically developed independence in thought and action as an act of default survival.
I’m GenX, the Boomers were out partying and treating their kids like crap from day one, forward. Most of my contemporaries are to a large degree independent and rationally individualist to the point of extreme.
When daddy abandons you, you get to be raised girly. When mommy and daddy both are out snorting coke leaving you alone to discover the world, you learn to fend for yourself.
Just my take, YMMV, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that a vast majority of “the tea party” types, at the beginning anyway, were late 30′s through 40′s men (GenX).
Musing out loud, I guess.
I think the Tea Party types are definitely an off-shoot of that, given the smallness of their number, I’d say they had the minority reaction though.
I’ve found that they are a mix of Gen X and Boomer-’Nam Veterans, in the marches (the Marches on DC) and meetings I’ve been too.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that a vast majority of “the tea party” types, at the beginning anyway, were late 30′s through 40′s men (GenX).
No coincidence, either, that the nastiest überfeminists are GenX women.
No denying that.
Another aspect of this that almost identically mirrors the Values-Transfer aspects of these generations is the wealth transference aspect.
The Greatest skimpt and saved every damned penny they could and in doing so built a Savings-Based economy. They bought a lot once the 50s hit, but they produced way more and there was plenty for everyone.
By the Boomers, those savings started to be burned up and a debt-based economy arose. That’s currently what we have now.
As a result, Boomers are in massive amounts of debt. My parents, God bless them, started years ago paying theirs off. Most haven’t.
Boomers have been at the point for a while now where they are going into debt on the backs of future generations.
So, not only have Boomers pulled themselves up by the ladder of savings above them created by the Greatest, but once the ladder was gone, they are standing on the backs and necks of their children.
They spent not only their inheritance, but their children’s as well.
As GenX, I realized quite early in life that I could count on nothing, NOTHING, being handed to me by the Boomer generation, so having an inheritance was never a factor. I made my own wealth despite how my parents lived.
You were one of those Latch-Key kids they did news reports about, huh?
I grew up more like a Boomer (mom at home, had most things and more) although my father didn’t really transfer life values in a way that I could easily understand them.
Aye, ’tis true. Mom and pop divorced, dad moved out of state to start a new family with a young hottie girlfriend (this, I do not begrudge him, but he did basically disappear from my life except during holidays), mom decided to whoop it up partying and abandoned me, first in a technical sense then eventually a legal sense. Basically raised myself until I was old enough to latch onto my uncle(s) and learn how to hunt and be part of a 1% motorcycle gang (at 14 that shit taught some valuable shit).
Watched a lot of my friends go through similar (well, split latch key families anyway). I used to say “I envy you folks that had stable families”, but at this point in life I cherish my independent spirit and ability to stand up and openly defy society without fear, so I take value from what was given to me by life.
What do you mean by ; ” a 1% motorcycle gang” ?
My first language is French and occasionally I simply don’t get it.
You’ve been handed nothing by the Boomers and their predecessors , except a society with
–almost perfect sanitation (drink the water even in midst of huge cities, all medical practices conform to modern standards)
–unbelievable technology advances with essentially free computing power for all
–largely polite and professional police (i’m an asshole and every time the cops have dealt with me they’ve been polite, giving me tickets etc, and never asked for bribes)
–A fairly transparent plutocratic economic system where the rich are at least honest in that they’re absorbing 98% of wealth production, and offering you an electoral system where if you stopped electing Yalie elites you can get some of it back, but you don’t want to cuz you like the rich people.
–Only about one ( 9/11) enemy infiltration into the country which killed 3000-soething in the last 100 years, a tragedy psychologically but an extreme outlier in the history of all empires.
You poor, poor babies, you’ve got it SO rough.
And I forgot a variety quality, and reliability of food IF YOU LOOK FOR IT practically unheard of in all human history. You can stuff cheetos until you look like an egg if you want.
Everybodyhatesscott is wrong on the facts. The boomers are clearly the most selfish generation to exist. In fact, the generation X turned out surprisingly well—that’s not to say the turned out well, but better than the boomers. And their guilt is complete when you realize the boomers were the ones who built the cathedral.
correct. gen X is still not in charge. 38 is right in the middle of Gen x and we are still the junior partners with no power. despite the bullshit we were given, however, it was gen x nerds who did things like invent the iPhone and all the other tech wizardry of the past 15 years
and there are VERY FEW members of Gen X in all of Congress, house or senate. VERY few. I hate when people fail to use discipline when talking about the age range of generations. Gen X right now is age 35 to 40…our kids are aged 0 to 8. There are no adult children of Gen X right now except perhaps for 20 year olds with a 40 year old mother.
There are no INFLUENTIAL non-trash children of Gen X right now. The children of good Gen X people are aged 0 to 12 right now.
Um, not so much guy. Those born in the mid 1960′s is the starting point. I’m in GenX (46 y/o) and have seen articles referring to us as GenX since I was in my early 20′s.
Which means that, yes, there are kids old enough to be adults now, if you get somebody here in my generation who started young (~18 to 20). In fact, I have a former classmate acquaintence who is a grandfather (same age as me) now.
Generation X, commonly abbreviated to Gen X, is the generation born after the Western Post–World War II baby boom. Demographers, historians and commentators use beginning birth dates from the early 1960s to the early 1980s.
Right, that puts us well into our 40′s. It appeared you ended GenX at 40, hence my comment. If you meant “40′s”, then my bad.
Offshoot of this: these days I often see “Generation Y” used as a synonym for “Millennial”, but I distinctly remember first seeing that word used for the people born around 1975-1985, who bridged Gen X and the Millennials. People born in this era had very different upbringings than the ’60s births that made up the early part of Gen X. More computers and video games, a more stultifying education system, fewer two-parent homes, and of course a whole lote more girl-power and feminism. As a member of this group, I’d like to see us take the “Gen Y” label back, because we’re not traditional Gen X-ers and we’re not Millennials, either.
Agreed, those currently in their late twenties to mid thirties are quite distinct in my estimation, and a pretty fractious bunch at best. If I were to use any particular descriptors for this bunch, it would that they tend towards the extreme and nerdiness; your techno-libertarian types and Big Bang Theory leftists are most likely to be comprised of a fair number from the Gen-Y group.
I’m 25, I’d always thought of myself as Gen Y, and my younger sisters do to. One would think the milenials were born after the turn of the milenium, no?
That’s true.
But the most notable early-retired Gen Xer was Kurt Cobain, so Xers have that to look forward to.
Are you under the impression I’m calling Gen X the most selfish generation?
Yep. Am I wrong on that?
Yes.
The boomers are clearly the most selfish generation to exist
That’s what I was saying.
Agreed.
My grandparents lived through the depression…so I know why they did what they did…and why they had that attitude. They had nothing coming in and had to work for everything they got.
When you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth like the boomers…you expect everything handed to you. Life doesn’t work that way…unless you whine to the government enough and promise to vote for a certain party that gives you the goodies. Screw the boomers and their “free love”. If the love is so free…why I do I have to keep paying for the slut’s birth control and welfare.
Heh.
>>why I do I have to keep paying for the slut’s birth control and welfare.
incrementalism. it starts as helping old widowed housewives so they won’t starve in the streets and progresses to the point where you’re paying widow pensions to gay dudes.
Yeah, incrementalism, AKA boiling the frog, is one of the fundamental techniques used to implement all aspects of the Cultural Marxist program.
Yes, but behind it all — The Frankfurters!!
Do Hebrew National’s plump when you cook ‘em?
” … it starts as helping old widowed housewives so they won’t starve in the streets and progresses to the point where you’re paying widow pensions to gay dudes…. ”
and paying the pills of sluts…
That is liberalism…
unfortunately…
“When you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth like the boomers…you expect everything handed to you”
Boomers (Boom-r’s?) are the apex of r-selection.
COTW – cock of the world
I have a -little-, sympathy for Millenials, but not much. They are largely as described in the original article, but you also have to feel as least a bit of sympathy for a person that is growing up in a world where you will, almost certainly, be worse off than your parents.
This is a completely alien concept in the United States for at least the last 3-4 generations. I’m sure if I was facing such a bleak landscape I’d probably have some righteous and somewhat justified indignation about those older than me that managed to fuck things up so utterly.
So I give them a pass on that part at least. All the rest though, the shoe fits nicely and firmly.
Ty for the lee-way bro
That’s a good point. And 3-4 generations isn’t enough. They will be the first generation in American history to a country worse off than their parents.
I’ve tried to explain this to my parents a few times, but they have a hard time understanding it. There’s a low-level angst that underlies almost every facet of life for your average Millennial; work, school, friends, family, all of it. I don’t think we’re so much indignant as we are resigned. We know we don’t have a future, but far too many of are saying “fuck it” rather than “fix it.”
Why do anything about your own predicament when you can blame the Old White Men for it?
The problem is— the middle-aged white men, will fill the vacuum. And when they do this, it will be bad for everyone except Europeans. When the chips are truly down– Defaults on US Debt worldwide, Fed Reserve monopoly money shut down, Social Security Ponzi Scheme demolished. It will be middle-aged white guys vs 21st century America.
Who will win? I use to think, not long ago, BigGov. But I realized something that has me sleeping as peacefully as Osama Bin-Laden ever slept at night. Europeans rule the world still, in spite of all propaganda to the contrary.
We built the 20th-21st century. We built all inventions during the same period, and we built anyone’s ability to question it all. But at the end of the day, we can tear it all down post FUCKING haste, if we need to. And when the Dark Ages reappear, and the white, black, brown, and yellow have been purged from Gaia, we will build it up again. 100,000 years of evolutionary fitness has no equal.
Yeah, it looks like we’re fucked in the short term (and we probably are) but still, I believe we’re going to triumph over, say, the motherfucking Chinese. I hope so, anyway. As bad as things look now with Western society in charge of the planet, shit would only get so, so much worse if the Chinese were allowed free reign.
Christ what planet are you OC paranoid people living on? “We’re fucked”? I can walk out the door in my peaceful town and go look through 20 varieties of organic milk at the health food store? What exactly is it that you want?!
If you look up the word solipsism in the dictionary, you’ll find this clown’s picture.
20 varieties of organic beer.
For anyone looking for a larger historical perspective: http://www.timepage.org/time.html
It would be wrong to blame our current predicament on any particular generation.
The single event that forever changed the ancient and finely balanced rules of human sexual relations, was the introduction of the contraceptive pill. i.e.… Women no longer having to face the responsibilities/consequences of their biology.
Most men, society in general – especially women themselves – have yet to come to terms with the magnitude of this one event and it’s catastrophic social ramifications.
For anyone interested, here’s an interesting debate between Peter Hitchens and a old, childless/clueless, feminist on this very subject.
Note that at 0:28:02 she is forced to admit that the one thing feminists like her, didn’t anticipate when making it easier for women to get divorced “was that most men tend to prefer younger women” and that “divorced women would have such difficulty in finding a new sexual partner”.
The single event that forever changed the ancient and finely balanced rules of human sexual relations, was the introduction of the contraceptive pill. i.e.… Women no longer having to face the responsibilities/consequences of their biology.
I don’t buy it. The condom has been around for centuries, and various other devices predate the pill as well. My suspicion is the big difference hinges around automation and the move from blue collar type jobs to the sorts of office jobs for which women are reasonably well suited. Women can survive on their own… as long as they don’t want children.
Or it’s multi-causal and you are both right.
“The condom has been around for centuries”
For obvious reasons, condoms have always been a male controlled form of contraception – and if anything, tended to lessen a woman’s reproductive choices.
However, the universal introduction of the contraception pill gave women (for the first time in human history) 100% control of the reproduction process.
Of course many other factors have come along to compound matters but without the pill, women would have been unable to abandon their natural place in society – patriarchal motherhood.
My suspicion is the big difference hinges around automation and the move from blue collar type jobs to the sorts of office jobs for which women are reasonably well suited. Women can survive on their own… as long as they don’t want children.
Bullshit… wait ’til the plumbing starts leaking, or the oil in the car needs changed… better yet, when the electricity cuts out for more than a day or two.
Most men nowadays can’t survive on their own.
This is why we need Obamacare I predict an epidemic of these medical incidents!
