Calling a spade a spade doesn’t break the spirit of anyone worth their salt, and hearing rebukes in the spirit in which they’re given is straight from Scripture.

The reason the other side has been emboldened is because, for the few victories (along the lines of Kavanaugh, e.g.) our side have eked out this far in these past two years, the cultural war is still solidly in their corner, and the demographics tilt their way more each day, with no will or power on our side to stop the rising tide.
The midterms proved that, while they didn’t get the big tide they hoped for, they made enough inroads among the peon voters to at least gain in the House, at a time when their lies and shitshow circus from the recent Kav hearings should have run them and their ilk out of town on a rail, by any rational electorate.

Even if Trump somehow rallies the same support in 2020 as in 2016 after this litany of flops and disasters, he might lose anyway simply because of the endless flow of scab voters into the USA.
As soon as Trump is out of office, he and his family are probably going to be hounded to destruction by their enemies.
