I knew an old lady with cancer who spent a week on a gurney at Sunnybrook Hospital, the largest trauma centre in Canada and one of the country’s best hospitals, and they didn’t even give her a chance to bathe the entire time. Fortunately her husband was a veteran, so they moved her to a much nicer veteran’s wards on the other side of the complex and got the care she needed.
