John Derbyshire wonders why Europeans are so susceptible to guilt. One explanation is that all cultures have a foundation myth that tells them who they are, and the foundation myth of modern Europeans is a negative one.
How do you recognise a foundation myth? It fulfils three functions.
1)It explains the origin and structure of the world (and society).
2)It defines ultimate good and evil (and from those definitions are derived the values that are used to justify the holding of power).
3)It determines what is held sacred in that society.For modern Westerners the story of WWII has become their foundation myth. It fulfils all three functions.
1)We live in the ‘Post-War World’. The lines on the map, the institutions, the sense of what era we live in, all arise from the starting point of WWII.
2)Ultimate evil is Nazis. Ultimate good is opposing Nazis. The values derived from these definitions are anti-racism, equality, diversity, anti-nationalism and so on.
3)The only thing that is held sacred, that cannot be denied or mocked in the contemporary West, is the Holocaust.
The problem is that all three functions are backwards or negative.
Instead of the origin event being one of fertility and new life, it was a conflagration of death and destruction.
Instead of ultimate good taking the central position in the story that slot is occupied by ultimate evil. Everyone knows that Adolf Hitler, the personification of evil, holds the centre point of the WWII story.
Instead of that which is held sacred being something mysterious and sublime it (the Holocaust) is an obscenity.
Having a negative foundation myth means the tree of life for Westerners is poisoned. People don’t realise it but the bounds of allowable thought and the orientation of ideas are all downstream from the myth of the society. As long as our understanding of who we are is determined by this negative foundation myth the only direction is down.
The power of mythology (in modren globocorporate terms, of ad branding) is no trivial thing. Lose your founding myth, and you lose your identity. What has happened to White Westerners is worse: we have not just lost our identity but have been shackled to a new identity, a corrosive and malignant identity that threatens to subsume us in self-annihilationism. We have our new founding mythology, and it requires endless sacrifice with no hope of glory. How fucking depressing. And womanly.
A jewish buddy once brazenly joshed to me that “the jews have so much money we have a holocaust museum in every American city”. It’s gevalt ’cause it’s true. There’s a holocaust museum or holocaust memorial in a lot of US cities, small or large, which you will stumble upon if you visit long enough. Even small town America, jewish population 0%, has holocaust memorials scattered about. Why the fuck does America have to sanctify holocaust remembrance? It didn’t happen here, Americans had no knowledge of nor participation in it. Yet we bend the collective knee to its awesome allure and pay our shamegeld to its rabbinic overseers.
The subtext of my buddy’s joking revelation was that the prime function of holocaustianity isn’t memorialization, it’s the flexing of power. His tribe’s power.
And, unlike Europe, holocaustianity isn’t America’s first or foremost negative foundational neomyth. That honor goes to slavery and the Civil War, the origin and structure of the negative myth. The South, the ultimate evil. Lincoln, the sacred figure. It all coalesces into a new civic religion to give de-Christianized SWPL libshit Whites the opportunity to feel the divine pull of a higher calling.
So Heritage America is getting socked with two negative foundational myths while at the same time dispossession and redaction of the real, positive American mythic figures continues apace.
It would be tragic if it weren’t demonic.
This is why ZFG shitlords, dindu nuffin memesters, and JIDF-spotting trolls are doing the White God’s work. By crushing through mockery the negative founding myths and its sacrosanct centerpieces holocaustianity and racial guilt, White Westerners can begin to reclaim their glorious heritage and the Truth and Beauty it embodies. Funny you should say that. Just the other day I was reading a Charles Williams (1909-1975) novel from 1971. “And The Deep Blue Sea”.
I was quite enjoying it – he’s a hard-boiled writer and redpill on women – when the story took a turn to be about a Nazi war criminal escaping from South America and there was a holohoax “evil nazi doctor” back story. It was a popular storyline in the 1970s. But I too quickly found myself rooting for the “bad” guys.
I like to get an author who wrote over a long period – like Williams – and read all of his works in chronological order and note the changes. What I have found a number of times is that popular authors – e.g., Louis Lamour, Leslie Carteris – are not only seconded to write propaganda themes into their works by government during wartime, but often insert, quite irrelevantly – Jew-love themes into their work. This was the case with Lamour in some of his post-1950 work – characters being good Jews in westerns for no reason at all – it was the case in at least one of Raymond Chandler’s books, and it appears as an unlikely theme in “Deep Blue Sea”. I mean it is unlikely because Jews/Nazis just wasn’t his thing up until that point.
This observation of mine fits in with my view of a great deal of modern mass fiction: books by writers like John Grisham and MIchael Connelly and Lee Child and such like are ferociously anti-white male and pro-nig and pro-KGB (sorry, FBI) and their baddies are always creepy christians or Neo-nazi bikers, or nerdy white serial killers or “redneck mafia”…anyway, you get it.
But I don’t think this is just a matter of personal leanings. These writers no doubt have the “correct” opinions or they wouldn’t get in the door, but I am also sure that their works are always “enhanced” by editorial commissars of the big publishers.
In all of these ways, working on so any fronts at once, the poz has a megaphone that blares across society 24/7/365 and in its way it is like North Korean radios – the volume can be turned down, but never turned off.

@CO, regarding Jewish funding of Hitler: I heard somewhere that Nazi actually stood for National Socialist/Zionist Party. Not sure how true that is, but Hitler did sign the Havaara agreement I believe in ’33. I haven’t followed it much deeper than that, but there might be a shred of truth. Perhaps Hitler was similar to Macron, in that some here posit that Macron will actually turn around to bite the Rothschild’s in the ass, due the embiggening effect of being near Trump. Yep. Political genius (even came up with an economic program that got German women out of the workforce rapidly and without coercion), military moron.
The Wehrmacht, for all its inevitable human flaws, was an astounding fighting machine. I’ve read a lot about them, and despite the weaknesses of their equipment, their level of competence, their fighting spirit, and their deadliness even with the weight of the whole world leaning on them is one of the most outstanding episodes in military history.
And all that Aryan might was squandered by Hitler being unable to keep his hands off the strategic levers. So I don’t think Hitler was wrong to fight Jewish control, to fight communism, or to try to create a “volkish” separate economy for his people.
But he sure blew it militarily. I can think of a dozen disasters off the top of my head that simply make me wince at the wasted potential.

Book recommendation: “Scalp Dance,” by Thomas Goodrich. Not only does it chronicle a lot of “politically incorrect” Indian behavior, but it provides some fascinating glimpses into the mentality of the American horse soldiers, many of whom started out as cucks, soon lost that with the red (heh) pill of contact with the harmless raping, torturing natives, and then marveled at the utter stupidity of the Easterners clucking and tut-tutting at them from safety.

Another good read is “A Fate Worse than Death” by Greg and Susan Michno. Kind of takes the sheen off the Disneyesque Pocahontas myth of the peaceful, benevolent Native American.

Part of that has to do with the fact that the Native Americans have an entirely different way of looking at things.
To them, it is impossible, even ridiculous, to own land.

I’ve read different estimates, but all of them agree that there were a shitload of indians here when white men landed, and their population decreased 90 – 95% due to diseases they had no immunity from. It would have been virtually impossible to settle here if it wasn’t for that.

The connecting thread between the Civil War and WW2 is that both the Confederates and the Nazis believed in what the left considers the myth of white superiority. In both instances, according to the leftist retcon, it was not so much the political entities that were defeated as the shared ideology that they represented. In the zero sum game that is identity politics, you are either up or down, and whites are permanently down, always and forever, because of slavery and Hitler. So say we all.
But what if the myth were true, at least in certain respects? What if, for all their faults, history’s BadWhites recognized something profound about the human condition? What if the real myth is Coexistence? What if, as CH pithily puts it: Diversity + Proximity does in fact = War? And what if *Science*, the ostensible god of the left, increasingly validated that?
In the main, the typical Union soldier was not fighting to end slavery, any more than the the typical Allied soldier was fighting to save the Jews. Such are the uses of history….
But the nasty thing about retcons is that there can always be another retcon.

One of the things that haunts me about those who fought and lost (the Confederacy, Hitler, Napoleon, and others who, because they lost, are now considered the Villains of History) is how many times the winners were on the Left.
American Revolutiion: we were the leftists. We won.
War of Northern Aggression; we Southerners were the rightwingers. We lost.
Bolshevik Revolution: Left won, murdered at least 40 million of their own, not
even including war dead, and every Christian they could find. Holodomor was a part of that.
Communist China: Left won, 60 million murdered.
WW2: tougher to call, but USSR was a winner, left-turning USA was a winner. Whether or not Fascism is actually left wing or right, they were to the right of the USSR.
At the risk of sounding like a JIDF Demoralization agent, there are moments when I have no confidence that we won’t lose. Other times, I say bring it on. If we lose, fuck it, let’s fight. And we could win. I can’t be cocky about it, though.

Here’s my possibly incorrect shot at explaining what happened (including a few conflicts that weren’t mentioned):
Napoleonic Wars: right wing won (in effect); Napoleon was Emperor, but was thoroughly filled with Revolutionary ideals. The monarchies beat him by being strong and organized.
Franco-Prussian War: right wing won; German Empire beat semi-leftist French Second Empire handily due to German military excellence.
American Civil War: left wing won; left wing had vastly greater resources (i.e. American industrial heartland).
World War I: Left wing won due to U.S. intervention at the crucial moment. Sans U.S., German Empire would have forced England to make peace and history would have been really different.
Bolshevik Revolution: left wing won by promising ordinary Russians land. Just because they didn’t really keep that promise doesn’t mean it wasn’t a big motivator.
Soviet-Polish War (1920): right wing won (fierce Polish semi-republic defeated Soviet attempt to drive into Central Europe and take Germany, which they openly said they wanted as a base for “global revolution”). Poles strongly motivated by patriotism.
German Civil War: right wing won (Freikorps and other right wing fighting leagues, eventually SA, crush Spartacists and other left-wing revolutionaries) due to appealing to large numbers of military veterans.
World War II: very close run thing. Left wing won but right wing was much more formidable adversary than in some of the other wars (e.g. Russian and Chinese Civil War). Reason, IMO; the Third Reich enlisted the fanatical loyalty of the ordinary German in general and the soldiery in particular by doing something to improve their lot. Everyone hates the “socialist” part, and I’m a bit uncomfortable with it too (though it was a limited socialism compared to other systems), but it seemed to get the regular folk fired up in a way the Reds managed several times elsewhere. Was ultimately lost by right wing for 2 reasons: Hitler’s strategic botching, and U.S. industrial might.
Not sure what this indicates, but I think it’s necessary to do SOMETHING to enlist popular support for the cause.

Napoleon made some huge mistakes, he totally alienated the Spanish by trying to bring modern secularism into a country that hadn’t left the Middle Ages behind, his troops ran amok among the native population, and he underestimated what a British officer named Arthur Wellesley could do with a few British regiments and a whole lot of Portuguese.
He was also very seriously hamstrung by the British naval blockade – something the Brits are VERY good at, the reason there is a United States today is because the French were able to break the British naval blockade of the East Coast.
And then he committed the ultimate error no. 1 of all conquerors – he invaded Russia.

Carlos – I’m a transalpine European, born and raised in a land where 85°F is a heat wave, rain is pretty much guaranteed 3 or 4 times a week, winters are long and cold and dark and even summers can seem like fall.
Spent a few months in Florida, that was a little extreme, but nothing you can’t cure by shedding some clothes, drinking lots of water and taking more showers.
2 years in TN, hot & sticky in the summer, cool & muddy in the winter, but no big deal.
My current residence sports temps in the 90s and 100s May through September, nary a cloud in sight, massive drops and rises from day to night and not enough rain to fill a coffee can.
Surely there were plenty of hardy Irish, Germans, Danes, Dutch, Poles and similar sno n1gg@s to pick some cotton.

I went to several schools and I read a lot of history especially about world war II during the 1960’s and I never heard of the holocaust until the early 1970’s. Churchill and Eisenhower apparently never heard of it either or they just failed to mention it in their histories of world war II which seems rather unlikely.
Ask anyone who went to school before 1970 if they were taught about the holocaust and the answer will be no.

The “6 million” figure cited so often strains credibility. Assuming 4 years of continuous killing 24×7, that breaks down to:
– 1.5 million every year
– 125,000 every month
– 4,109 every day
– 171 every hour 24×7 for 4 unbroken years
The logistics and resources required boggle the mind — transportation, holding areas, crematories, disposal — all the while a full blown war was going on. I just don’t buy it.
I read “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl, a survivor of the camps. (Great book by the way). He was worked to the bone in the camps but not murdered. He does say that people who could no longer work were killed, which I find plausible. But wholesale killing and liquidation? No.
But hell — if I were (((them))) I would exaggerate and exploit the hell out of it. Which they have done. Brilliantly.

Eichmann famously calculated on the back of an envelope that there were 13 million in Europe total (Kabalistic 13?). Germany only had about 265,000. France 600,000. Most were in the East. Most in the USSR were communists and fair game because of their crimes. I think it has been attempted but I have never seen a study. It is apparent many more survived than are admitted to. Prior to WWII, and really even WWI, the great foundation myth of the West was Rome. Every Western society looked back to Rome for its origins (Greece for its intellectual origins). The universal study of Classics gave educated classes a sense of commonality. This then was transmitted to the masses. Everyone with a university or even high school degree had read Homer and Vergil. I disagree that the mythology of the Civil War is inherently negative and thereby equivalent to the post-World War II mythology Emblematic describes. For one, Abraham Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address” was an attempt to secure a “new birth of freedom” in order to re-root the nation in its original natural rights foundation. He wasn’t trying to undermine the past but to restore it. Lincoln was trying to restore “Heritage America” from the elitist overlords who wanted to expand their hordes of non-white labor to serve as a laboring underclass and keep them in power.

For Lincoln, slavery was a stain on an otherwise good founding. The war for the Union was the fault of human greed and tyranny but was ultimately a tragedy. That’s why you never find him portraying the south as evil, only as misguided. His 2nd Inaugural Address proposes that the “terrible war” is a “woe” both to the “North and the South.” The South aren’t the equivalent of Nazis. Rather they are brave and largely well meaning but in service to a cause, the slave power, that will ultimately threaten the union of free white peoples that Made America Great in the first place.
Lincoln wasn’t an apologist for the sort of ideological equality and anti-racist agitprop of our day. He didn’t think blacks were the equals of whites in terms of intelligence or work ethic, but he also didn’t think that gave whites a right to rule blacks without their consent. I don’t think I do. Your argument places the Jews at the center of the drama when that was never the intent. They were never intended to be more than the first converts to be sent out to convert others when the time was right. Judaism is hierarchical, exclusive and legalistic and always has been. It is entirely different in character from Christianity. The Book of Enoch tells the entire story of Jesus in synopsis and says he would be rejected by the wicked. Somebody knew well in advance what would happen and exposed it.

Greg – my point is that every tribe of people have always had their own foundation myths, that puts their own tribe in the center of the metaphysical drama, and as such loosely translates as “God’s chosen people”. One positive thing that should define who we are is the American Revolution and the Spirit of 1776. Recently I have found comfort in a reframing of the incessent attack on my white being in this reality. I have become more proud than ever that apparently I am part of a clan that is so strong and powerful and when working together are so badass… that it takes the entire world of Jewry, traitors and brown peoples to organize and conduct an epic and constant campaign to restrain me and my fellow intelligent testosterone filled whites. That if the field was just level and rules the same for everyone, (I know there are no rules, but hypothetically in some kind of epic race game) that me and my ilk would wipe the floor with the competition. That is the only reason this campaign against me and my fellow whites exist. I take great pride in that. It’s like being a great football wide receiver and demanding triple coverage. It is a form of respect on the world stage.
