I’ve never had cable or satellite TV, the only time I – well, my uncle, actually – paid for TV was back in Europe, where you actually need a license (yes, you read correctly) for every TV or radio in your home, your car or anywhere else, it’s a form of tax.
Can’t remember the last time I went to the movies or bought a new movie on DVD, if I do buy any, I get them at yard sales, used book stores or thrift shops or used online.
Their efforts are pretty much wasted on me.

I started noticing a change in language and the way words were being used during the 1990s.
It was quite subtle at first, which is probably why Generation X didn’t react, it was often too subtle to notice.
Not sure about ‘diversity’, I think that one came later, during much of the 90s everything was ‘g@y’.
Everyone was g@y or suspected of being gay, it was cool to be g@y, there was g@y this and g@y that, you couldn’t turn around without tripping over g@Y.
Weird, oddball allergies started popping up, all of a sudden everyone was allergic to everything – milk, gluten, peanuts, all sorts of other, normally normal normalcies of normal people’s normal life became abnormal and dangerous.
I was certainly aware of Islam – Moslem culture started a mere 6 hours or so drive away – and you could not turn on the news throughout the 1970s without hearing something about a plane being hijacked (their mostest favoritest m.o. in those days), a b0mb going off in the Maghreb or Levant, or some similar event, 98% of the time, it had something to do with 1srael/P@lestine/Middle East, the remaining 2% being supplied by the IRA, the ETA and Baader-Meinhof.
Not sure if the word ‘jihad’ was being used then, but that’s what it was, that’s what it’s been since the 630s.

2) Allergies (humans should not be allergic to what they eat). There were no food allergies in the 80s, suddenly this changed around 1995
3) Muzzie culture was something far away -you had to leave Greece for Turkey to see islamic culture or go to an Arab embassy (of course, there are white muzzies in the Balkans)

With regards to our Hebrew friends, I’ve been reading articles lately talking about “conservative” and “right-wing” “Jews.” This is in the context of the courtiers around Trump. Lest anyone get the wrong idea, I want to reiterate the point that there is No. Such. Thing. as a right-wing or conservative Jew, in the sense of American or Anglo-Saxon conservatism. They are conservative insofar as being ultra-kosher, avoiding pork, and vigorously arming Israel to the teeth, never mind if it’s corn-fed US taxpayers in Wyoming footing the bill.
Oh sure, what about Bill Kristol, John Podhoretz, David Frum, and Duddy Kravitz? They’re all good conservatives, awrent they? Wrong. They are neoconservatives. Which used to be known as neoliberals. Who all sat in the Democrat party back in the 40s and 50s until they “wandered” over to the Republican Party of William F. Cuckley. And why not! A fresh new organism to attach one’s self to.
When the rubber hits the road, none of these buggers espouse or advance real conservative principles. Free speech, freedom of assembly, the right to bear arms, the right to be left to one’s devices unmolested by the state (well, they believe in that, so long as “one” is a corporation on Wall Street) are concepts as forreign as they are contemptible to Morty Finkelmann of Flushing, to the “right-wing” MPs in the Knesset, to their ancestors in the Shtetls.
Conservatism is an Anglo-Saxon. Always has been, always will be. There, I said it.

At least since the French Reblooshawn, all European gubmints have been d3athly afraid of their own people and have disarmed them completely.
The Euro reblooshawnaries of the first hour will have to make do with thrashers, pitchforks, torches, kitchen implements and maybe Swiss Army kn1ves (assuming they are then still allowed to buy those) when they storm their respective Castles Dracula.
