I routinely go to Amazon, read all the reviews, figure out the best-of-class tool for whatever my particular needs are at that moment, and then head over to eBay to purchase it from a [non-j00ish] Mom and Pop store.

This is exactly what I do. I’ve never really understood why they are so huge, they almost never win on prices, I’d say 98% of the time there is another website offering a better “out the door” price, shipping and all. About the only thing they’re good for is reviews… then I just copy the SKU or title, and plug it into ebay or a shopping search.

Here is where I differ from most of you guys. I don’t think more laws are the answer. We know who always ends up controlling the laws and the legal system, and it’s no surprise that the three powers of the swamp (executive, legislative, and judicial) are controlled by lawyers. Adding one more law, no matter how well intentioned, gives them yet more power (and legitimacy) over the rest of us. Do you honestly think that they will use antitrust law to bust their buddies’ companies? The answer is to take away their power, not to create another tool which they can use if they get back in the driver’s seat…
