Yeah, there is some kind of primal sociosexual reason White women like to claim that a celebrity nonwhite woman is attractive. It might be consensus signaling, but just as plausibly it's attractive White women glazing unattractive brown women because they know those brown women are no real sexual competitive threat to them.
