White Americans definitely lack identity which drives them into shitty fake identities like MAGA, this episode nails that on the head.
America set itself on an identity-stripping path once it veered from its predominant English origins. IMO the above comment hints at something true; White Americans don't have an identity in the same way that the various Eurowhites possess.
After the colonial settler period, America began to absorb a lot of non-English Whites (for good or ill). This had the practical effect of severing White ethnic identity in the American diaspora, through culture boundary bleeding and intermarriage.
The process would have eventually worked itself out through ~ten generations of intermixing, until a new White American ethnicity was formed (ethnogenesis), but it was short-circuited by the welcomed invasion of nonwhites and antagonistic jews. Consequently, White Americans never completed the process of forming a discrete ethnic identity. This left them open to propaganda aimed at diluting the racial aspect of American-ness, and to filling their identity-void with fake and gay "America is an idea" zogslop.
