Wow… That long… I’m surprised – although she clearly planned it long before. It always amazes me how many men have zero information about body-language. I pick women based upon it – watching how they respond to our interaction. More than a few times I’ve watched the tell-tale-signs of indifference turn to interest, turn to active pursuit – of course I’ve watched the opposite too, able to point out where I blew it. But the nice thing about how I’ve set things up is there are always other women available – at least when I am in my element. Cold approaches suck – as you have to over come a LOT of resistance. Although over the years I’ve seen more women who don’t throw up the “bitch-shield” as quickly. Maybe it’s because I am so much older and they tend to be more curious than anything else. Of course, if I don’t see active interest fairly quickly, I move on. More than a few times I’ve found that a woman that wasn’t interested early in an evening will warm up as now she “knows” me…
Anyway – more men should become skilled at reading body language – it will serve them well not only with women, but in business as well. I have won more business due to meeting with the customer than with proposals, because I read my crowd and tend to pick out the ones that are open to being convinced, to those who are enthusiastic, to those who are a lost cause. Most of the time I know if I’ll get a call or not by the time I walk out. The same goes with women – although since the interactions are shorter – sometimes I’m surprised.
