When baby bush nationalized the banks in ’08, that was my wakeup moment, when I realized America was no better than a central american tin pot commie banana republic dictatorship. Then came the Patriot Act. I voted for that boy.
Prior to that I was all in. Former Navy, worked for DoD as well. I was going to make the world free at gun point, or else. i was a true believer in America, the greatest and freest blah blah evah! Government could do no wrong in my mind.
I went through all the stages of grief, sometimes all at once. You need to be ready for that. People you know alternately losing it, then being in denial (again), then angry, then sad.
Receiving them is going to require monumental patience and understand, in those times of denial, some may turn back and betray. Don’t give away opsec to newbies.
