@Heartiste This is one of the underappreciated evils of an “open” society: the constant cognitive assault on regular people, telling them to change their beliefs, their understanding of individual words, on a daily basis.
It wears them down. It exhuasts them. Which is probably a good thing for the other side anyway.
All for the propaganda needs of the immediate moment.
Especially when the “high verbal IQ” crowd is part of your “democracy.”
A nation can only have one truth regime. (And the closer it is to the actual truth, the more the nation will thrive.)
