Was Leo DiCaprio’s best role Arnie in the movie ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?’, where he played an annoying teenage tard who liked to climb tall objects? I believe that was his high water mark. Which I find kind of funny.

"H1B abusers"
This rhetoric is damning of Trump's real intentions. The crisis facing us isn't the problem of "abusers" of the system. The crisis is the system ITSELF.
We should be going after the H1B program in its entirety, not just the abusers of it.
Same with immivasion. We should be deporting all of them, not just the "violent criminals".
The System must be repealed.

The Tyler Robinson conspiracy theories remind me that Occam's Razor has taken a beating over the last decade.

Robinson's father turned him in, and I doubt the decision to rat out his own son was a difficult moral quandary for him, knowing that his degenerate son was fucking a dude in his cosplay foxhole.
It must have felt like excising a demon from the family, and restoring the reputation of his good name.

I've made this point as well. If there is an issue that can unite left-wing and right-wing White, it is opposition to Orwellian surveillance.
The other issue is environmentalism, but it has to be couched in terms acceptable to right-wing Whites, eg despoliation of the land by filthy invaders and overcrowding, while framing it as invasive species pushing out the native species from their habitats.
In time, I believe that right and left Whites will unite against Zionism and rapacious wall street capitalism, but for that to happen leftoid Whites will need to unlatch from the secular jewish agitprop teat and rightoid Whites will need to unlatch from the bootstraps foxnews teat.
-
Gaul Atreides @gaulatreides
It is in both Whites' and jews' interests for the two races to be separated, but jews will never agree to it because their sociobiologically evolved resource extractive programming requires a host to realize net gains for jewry.
Whites are the race LEAST likely to "go crazy all of a sudden", so when it seems that way to jews, it means Whites have suffered jewish subversion long enough and have decided to stop tolerating it.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman fined her $5,000, describing the case as a situation where an otherwise good person, upset by immigration policies in this country, made a bad decision in the moment.
It's a jew. Again.

Like it or not, America must lose this war of aggression against Iran, for White Americans to win the war of a genuine homeland.
The weimarican empire must meet defeat after defeat, failure upon failure. Globohomo must not be allowed a single moment of self-congratulation.
It is for this reason that I fear Trump and Israel, implicitly understanding the wider implications of this war, may turn to nukes if Iran gets the upper hand.
-
Gaul Atreides @gaulatreides
Yup, 1945-1970 America was 90% White, and that period coincided with what is known as "the Great Compression". Economic policies in the wake of the New Deal established a regime of rising single-earner wages, declining inequality, increasing happiness, and a decreasing income and wealth gap between the ownership class and the labor class.
1970 was the inflection point when all that began to unravel, and then accelerate under Reaganism.

Say where’s Arnie, Gilbert!!
I liked him in that Madonna video.
Hey Roissy (and others who may have some advice),
I’ve had a few same night lays/2nd date lays turn into “drinking buddy” style short term relationships. However, despite their willingness to get down right away, most of these girls were pretty vanilla in bed and were reluctant to do anything out of the ordinary (not even that out of the ordinary. Stuff like blowjobs or taking it in the butt) . Have you experienced this, and do you have any tips?
My BFF Leigh says that Leo DiCaprio as a retard in that movie is the ONLY time she’s ever found him sexy, otherwise he is bland in his roles.
no, it was as danny archer.

Leo is actually pretty decent in Shutter Island. Not as funny as the teenage tard, though.
OK, so incredibly off-topic, but here goes:
Would love to see a discussion of social networking sites in relation to PUA. What’s the PUA approach to something like FaceBook, aside from “don’t use it” in order to avoid the hassles of online harem management.
Seen plenty of articles about how to deal with your parents, boss and co-workers on there, but what to do when you’ve got, say a couple of women you’re in relationships with that want to friend you? Seems that privacy controls don’t afford you enough privacy to stop the twain from meeting. And we all know what happens when twain talk.
Given that he climbed up a water tower in that movie… it was indeed his high water mark! (Higher than Titanic, at any rate). Nice.
Agreed, wholeheartedly.
Well…almost. He was bad-ass in ‘Basketball Diaries’ and ‘Shutter Island’.
That said, I’m always partial to ‘tard humor.
oddly, i’d just been thinking how i’ve come all the way around on dicaprio. he used to be a punchline for the archetype effeminate heartthrob that i plain hated. i enjoyed gangs of new york in 2002, and i really enjoyed the departed in 2006. after seeing shutter island, i thought, holy shit, this guy really isn’t a big fag anymore.
he’s still not getting a supporting role in the third Conan or Riddick movies, but leo’s got a hood pass from me. he can buy me a beer anytime.
brad pitt, on the other hand, peaked in 1995 and continues to trend toward full homo status.
I despised him as a girly man in Titanic previews and during that era. I never saw the movie. Then he won me over in Blood Diamonds and his Howard Hughes role. It was obvious he was trying to avoid pretty boy roles. I respect him for that.
He had several long and explicit french-kissing scenes with a dude in 1995s “Total Eclipse.” No wonder he has since tried to do nothing but manly roles.
“Those aren’t pillows!!!!”
LOL!
This sort of hater mentality strikes me as beta.
His best role was the one for The Aviator. Great friggin’ movie too.
this is a girly-faced topic
I think Leonardo is actually getting better with age. Years ago he used to get criticized for not being manly enough, but he was still pretty young at the time. You don’t hear that about him anymore.
perplexed,
what’s your approach? you’re not asking for these things are you? if you want a hummer, just say, “use your mouth,” or better yet, just put it right in front of her face.
if you get a girl turned on enough, her freak flag will fly, but when you ask or try things tentatively the ASD kicks in.
Perplexed,
Why would a woman ever let any man put something up her bottom? Do women really do that?
This Boy’s Life – DeNiro and Leonardo in a movie based on the life of literature professor and author Tobias Wolff.
His role as “boyfriend” of Bar Refaeli.
LOL Lena, nice one.
@Laura.
Did you really just say ‘up her bottom’? Are you 12? Go back to the Hannah Montana page. You might learn a thing or two.
Laura: According to porn and the one girl who let me, they do. Others won’t, but they’ve also never tried it.
JR: I usually direct traffic without asking, so that’s not the issue. From the girls in question, I would get a reluctant BJ with no swallowing. I just find it weird that a girl would put out at the drop of a hat but won’t do anything else.
@Laura, again…
To answer your question. A woman will take it up the ass because:
1.) She likes it:
– the anus had a lot of nerve endings, and the stimulus feels good
– it hits her g spot from the other end
– it makes her feel dirty, submissive, and slutty (all good).
2.) She wants to please her man
Class dismissed.
laura,
seriously, how can a married woman five years younger than i be so sexually naive and naive about men, did you grow up in a seriously religious community like orthodox jews or mennonites?
@Necropotamus
Social networking is inherently feminine in nature. I believe it emasculates the “men” who integrate it too deeply in their lives.
(Note that I consider the healthy male’s psychological makeup as predominantly masculine with subordinated feminine aspects; i.e. feminine does not equal female.)
If you are hooked and can’t disentangle yourself from the big brother machine, then adopt a hierarchy of distinct sn identities that reflect the social context.
Alternatively, when a HB brings up the topic of [CIA/NSA?] Facebook, Twitter, etc. just tell them you committed suicide:
http://suicidemachine.org/
No way. Critters 3.
Okay fine. Sex was never my strong point anyway. It’s just not something I’ve ever had any desire to do and no one ever asked me to. That’s all. I guess some women are just more sexually adventurous than others.
Laura:
Why would a woman ever let any man put something up her bottom?
“up her bottom”?
Probably because the bloke pulled her knickers down.
Anal is the easiest litmus test for women.
If she does anal, chances are she’s somewhat cool, good in bed, adventurous, not going to constantly compete with you for dominance, willing to be sexy and submissive, eager to please her man, etc.
If she does not, chances are she is shrill, a feminist, sexually introverted, bad in bed, high-maintenance, a harpy, boring, and wishes to engage in constant power struggles.
It’s incredibly accurate.
Perplexed:
“I just find it weird that a girl would put out at the drop of a hat but won’t do anything else.”
Just like the beta-cum-PUA must kill their heart, so does the girl-cum-slut. Why is that weird?
Those are the early warning signs of a person who is taking actions that are in conflict with their deeper beliefs and self consideration.

can somebody show Laura
perplexed,
your name is fitting, cause it is a little perplexing. i’ve really never been with a girl who didn’t give head. some have put up a little “i don’t usually do this” resistance, but then they go at it like naturals.
are these girls very religous or from traditional backgrounds? are they young? is getting them drunk a big part of your game?
i still say it goes back to showing some dominance in bed and getting them turned on. a certain level of comfort and non-judgmental vibe is important as well.
Yes DiCrappio is definitely overrated, but I think his best role was in ‘The Departed’ if only because the movie was so gangsta.
To add to that, Kurt Russell is vastly underrated. The man has one of the best filmographies in Hollywood. ‘Backdraft’, ‘Big Trouble in Little China’, ‘Escape From New York’, and ‘Tombstone’ just to name a few. One of the all time greats.
JR: They are your typical “big girl in the city” types. No reason for it that I can see at all. I am dominant and they get turned on, but still no dice.
He should be taken out upon the nearest tarmac and shot for his limp wristed version of Howard Hughes in the aviator….liked him getting capped in the departed.though.
Dana,
I’m Lutheran. I just thought that type of sex was something you occasionally heard about (usually as a crude joke), but not something people ever actually did. I think it would be really painful.
Laura-ghetto anal loving hood rats will all tell you how much women just love having objects shoved up their outflow pipes.
I tried anal one time and it hurt. I suppose these ghetto hood rats will then tell you that a non lubricating opening in a womens body shoved with foreign objects is good. But what does that tell you about the character of said woman?
PS that same woman I tried anal with (after washing myself due to the fact that I didn’t want to foul her vagina with fecal matter) them had some nice vaginal orgasisms.
perp,
here are the reasons i can think of why a girl would sleep with you fairly quickly but not do other things:
– you’re not being alpha enough and she is reluctant to give in all the way
– she’s inexperienced and self-conscious about her skills
– she thinks of you as boyfriend material and doesn’t want to appear too slutty
– she wants to use it as leverage (e.g. you bought me a pair of shoes, so you get a bj tonight)
for any of those situations i recommend the same fix. start qualifying them early. speak negatively about girls who are prudes or have hangups or are who are terrible in bed. talk about how you don’t like judgmental people and how you think people should do whatever they want as long as no one gets hurt. part of creating a sexual vibe should be creating a vibe of “anything goes when you’re with me.”
J R

I’ve been with a few girls who had penis revulsion. One had never even seen the instrument that her ex had used in her up close. The other had been with more men that I’ve been with girls. What you do with girls like these is the same as you do with virgins. Push them just past their limits, acting confident as if it’s the most natural thing in the world, and ignoring all protestations, then back off. Then push farther. Get to the point of giving her a facial. If she screams and cries and runs for the bathroom, be amused. Don’t come anywhere near the territory of apology – no matter her reaction.
After a while of you setting this frame, she will assume your frame. After a while as she falls for you, she’ll not be able to remember her previous revulsion for cock, and will eagerly gobble you at any hint that you are ready.
As for anal, I have less experience, as I’m usually not patient enough to try to fit it in there.
That was the high water mark and he really should’ve quit while he was ahead.
Yes, as an earlier commenter mentioned, This Boy’s Life. On the whole, Pre-Titanic De Caprio did some good stuff.
Laura
Dana,
I’m Lutheran. I just thought that type of sex was something you occasionally heard about
then, you mustn’t be a TRUE Lutheran – a German Lutheran.
If so, you’d “hear” about it, get titillated, go home post-sermon and have your Bavarian housemaid simultaneously whip and urinate on you and your husband while you rutted to Der Fliedermaus.
DiCaprio was completely lacking in credibility as an adult man in fraudulent, angst-ridden 1950s suburbia confection Revolutionary Road, and especially so beside Kate Winslet, a genuine actress with a genuinely womanly screen presence.
In the Perplexed thread:
“PS that same woman I tried anal with (after washing myself due to the fact that I didn’t want to foul her vagina with fecal matter) them had some nice vaginal orgasisms.”
This was similar to my experience. It does establish dominance very well, and even a short session of anal will awaken the sex goddess within.
What to do with a girl who won’t swallow? Drop like hot potato. Life’s too short.
Film scholar David Thomson gets it right:
So what has happened, or not happened? First, play a little game. Which person in these pairs was older: Humphrey Bogart in The Maltese Falcon or Tom Cruise in Valkyrie; William Holden in Sunset Boulevard or DiCaprio in Revolutionary Road? Time’s up: Bogart was 42 and Cruise is 47; Holden was 32 and DiCaprio is 34.
Why does the first in each pair seem older in our minds? Bogart and Holden both smoked. They were born before nutrition and wellness had struck American infants. They had seen quite a bit of life. They had very adult material to play with. You may be able to think of a lot of other reasons. But notice the impact: Cruise is foolish in Valkyrie because his life has never known the dismay, the horror, the dread and the responsibility of being a German aristocrat and seeing your country taken over by a deadly madman. And DiCaprio simply lacks the life experience to make something of the pain of failed marriage in Revolutionary Road. I am talking about the drastic let-down in one actor, to be sure, but I am also addressing the imaginative barriers that face a generation of actors.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2009/jan/16/leonardo-dicaprio-profile
Thanks Passing Through. I’ll have to watch all four movies soon and see if I notice that.
What I like about Leo’s early roles is that he was cast as the second lead/supporting actor in movies that were supposed to be vehicles for the star. Where a good performance for him would have been not to get too badly outclassed by the star.
And each time, Leo stole the movie.
Gilbert Grape — does anyone remember that the big performance was supposed to be Johnny Depp’s?
Ditto DeNiro’s performance in This Boy’s Life.
We remember those movies because we remember Leo’s performance. When his face was on screen, we watched him, not Depp or DeNiro.
Watching Leo’s early movies has to be like watching Michael Jordan’s first day of practice as a freshman at UNC. As raw/rough each of them probably was, you knew you were in the presence of greatness.
Contrary to all the whining here that Leo’s too girly and his recent roles too fem, to me he’s the ultimate alpha.
Cast him with/against any actor or actress on the planet, and Leo will come out on top. No one out-acts him, no one out-performs him. He’s cocky, he’s confident. He delivers the goods. Any movie he’s in becomes his movie.
Sounds like a dictionary definition of alpha behavior.
“This sort of hater mentality strikes me as beta.”
No kidding. DiCaprio, movies aside, is pretty alpha. The man has natural game. So does Gerard Butler. And he has, at times, been ambivalent about his sexuality! Ooo lets rag on Gerard Butler now!
What Roissy doesn’t like about Leo has nothing to do with acting…
“I’m the king of the world!”… ack, gag [puke]. No, no, make it stop!
I just read a quote where Jennifer Aniston referred to Gerard Butler as a man’s man. That’s a nice compliment, especially coming from her.
@Dally: “If she does not, chances are she is shrill, a feminist, sexually introverted, bad in bed, high-maintenance, a harpy, boring, and wishes to engage in constant power struggles.”
I guess that’s one possibility. The other one is that she comes from a nation where such things are more or less not done. Personally, I’ve found Americano “progressive” feminist type chicks are much more likely to shove a dong in their pooper.
Since LD’s turn as Scorsese’s “muse” he’s been ill-served.
I always detected an ambivalent sexuality about MS. When I heard he fucked Liza Minnelli…uhmmm…
Leo serves as a sort of Tipi Hedren/Grace Kelly to the modern incarnation of a Hitchcockian director – who himself was a bit of a ponce.
I’m curious why a guy needs a fresh new supermodel every year to keep his dick hard. It’s like, if a guy pretended to be a homo, in order to perform, he’d need a young Leo D to give him a hummer. Then when he got too old, he’d want Orlando Bloom.
If I had to fuck a guy, it’d be finefantastic!
DiCaprio is more convincing as a teenage ‘tard than an Irish street tough, as Scorcese insists on casting him. Still I liked both “Gangs of New York” and “The Departed.”
I liked Gangs because of the obscure, rarely filmed era of history it captured quite well. Once the plot went predictable, it lost me.
High point: Daniel Day-Lewis ambushing his enemy by the garbage heap.
Couldn’t stand The Departed; too close to the Hong Kong chopsuey fantasy it derived from. I truly tried really hard to work up an appreciation for it. Matt Damon just killed it. Leo as a mick – nocando.
Aviator, Casino, Goodfellas, Mean Streets and Taxi Driver – yes.
booo! He is a good actor.
He looks like Muhammad Ali on the cover of The Aviator box.
http://i49.tinypic.com/etd0nm.jpg
How would Game deal with this:
http://www.break.com/index/balls_of_steel_crippled_girl.html
I would of guessed “Catch Me If You Can” would be a Roissy favorite.
I can’t take DiCaprio seriously as anything other than a whiny little bitch (aka Romeo). He does not come across as genuine tough, no matter how much he tries, but instead reminds me of the the overcompensating teenager who struts around, sneering at everybody and then gets his arse handed to him the first time he starts shit.
DiCaprio has a leading role in Mel Gibson’s new Viking movie, which will be done in Old English and Norse. Should be an interesting test of DiCaprio’s leading man-worthiness.
I can’t take DiCaprio seriously as anything other than a whiny little bitch
That’s because you’re an alpha, slapping him aroundon a message board, while DiCaprio is an omega, slumping around the world banging the world’s hottest supermodels with a few hundred mil in his pocket.
@ Popeye: No, its because DiCaprio is an actor who can’t act. He has only managed one decent role and everything he does after that just seems like he is still Romeo posing as somebody else.
Acting is his career and I am judging his career. Same as I think OJ was a good actor even if he did kill his wife. Having millions and fucking a lot of women doesn’t improve your acting.
He was great in “Catch me if you can”. He was playing an insecure boy, though.
@ Dr K: please don’t bring this blog’s comments section into disrepute by typing “would of” instead of would have.
“The Aviator” and “The Departed” were OK – “Catch Me If You Can” too – but “Revolutionary Road” was awful. the “Guardian” film-review quote from Passing through above was very interesting and spot on: movies just aren’t what they used to be, because of “the imaginative barriers that face a generation of actors.”
@dana: uh… it’s “Die Fledermaus” – wrong gender and spelling – and it’s an operetta from Vienna, from Catholic not Lutheran culture. 0 for 2! Have missed your comments here – I guess you show up less because you don’t have Obsidian to kick around any more?
Leo sucks big time
I can’t believe no one has mentioned the screen stealing performance as Luke in “Growing Pains.” Dude was pulling more some major Tiger Beat ass from that one role alone.
Also, in “Revolutionary Road” he delivers one of the best FUCK YOU’s I’ve seen in a movie (in the scene about 3/4th’s of the way through the movie).
Di Caprio played an amazing siderole in Woody Allen’s Celebrity as a hedonistic movie star, good movie anyways, worth watching.
shutter island was a steaming turd, i let my gf pick 1/6 of the movies we watch because i’m nice, so far theyve all sucked, but so does she, it evens out.
brainfurnace
DiCaprio has a leading role in Mel Gibson’s new Viking movie…
totally Alpha for Hollywood
I think Leo’s a pretty decent actor. I didn’t care for him much when he was younger, just because he was so much of a pretty boy back then. But he’s filled out and looks more like a man now. I thought he was great in The Departed.
“Wait for her to smile (she will, if she doesn’t take herself too seriously) and enjoy that moment when your pinkies touch reaching for the same jar of almond butter.”
—almond butter…ha…ha….ha.
shit, wrong post.
DiCaprio’s boyish features serve him well when he plays somebody who’s vulnerable and often wounded in some way. This Boy’s Life, Basketball Diaries, Gilbert Grape, Howard Hughes, The Departed.
Maybe DiCaprio needs to try playing a role of a serial killer/sadistic criminal – Kiefer Sutherland in eye for an eye style.
As an actor, yes. As a celebrity, I’d go with either Woody Allen’s “Celebrity” or Spielberg’s “Catch Me if You Can.
