on March 18, 2010 at 10:39 am If you were really trying to compose something that rose to the level of high theory I guess you’d have to make these statements more nuanced and less categorical. The male habit or identity or whatever disproportionately exhibits the former tendencies and purposes, the female the latter. You’d have to say this to begin to account for, for example, girlie beta men and strong, noble women, and all of the varieties falling along the continuum.

on March 18, 2010 at 10:54 am Don’t you look in the mirror too? The post would be more accurate if you listed it in terms of the masculine and the feminine rather than men and women. You could say it is masculine to eat, feminine to indulge etc. In reality, men and women fall somewhere in a continuum between masculinity and femininity. We all have masculine and feminine traits. Most men have more masculine traits and most women have more feminine traits. But often those with the right mix of extra opposite gender traits are those who do especially well with the opposite sex. I am funny when I am melodramatic. The joy of bisexual psychological androgyny.

on March 18, 2010 at 2:39 pm i think i may be the accuser in question here, because I used that word in a comment the other day. Doug called me on it. what i actually wrote was “misogynist/misanthropic” and i had in mind the idea that peeling away pretty lies shows the ugly/true side of everyone, not just women, but since the subject of this blog is women and seduction, they come off worst. so in that sense, yeah, this is a misogynist blog, and a very useful and necessary one at that. but i didn’t mean it in the usual feminist-shaming way. sheesh, how long have i been hanging out here. I’d add “Men create, women consume” or something like that. If you look at any art or creative area – painting, writing, music, cooking, design, architecture, whatever – not to mention any science – 90+% of the field is men, all throughout history. Creation and innovation are transgressive – they require breaking of barriers and conventions. Taking new ground. So related to territoriality, a fundamental male trait, in some abstract but basic way. also – unrelated topic – this clip has its funny moments: http://www.theonion.com/content/video/hot_new_relationship_book_warns

  47. on March 18, 2010 at 2:54 pm One thing does confuse me, though- “The Most Misogynistic Blog Post On The Internet” Like it’s not even the most misogynistic blog post you’ve made in the last week. It’s like a guy who would publicly announce that his job is being a white collar crime detective. How exactly does that work? “Hi Mr. Mafia, I’m a potential business partner. Let’s talk seriously. All men and all women have the potential to love desperately. “Love is a reciprocal torture” as Proust said. I have known men and women who have loved freely and desperately. It’s about who is the smarter/more attractive one in the relationship usually. Not confined to sex at all. You dirty misogynist.

on March 18, 2010 at 3:30 pm Meet with a hardcore feminist for a 1st date. All we did was have a heated argument about the sexes- she would not admit that the sexes had any brain, or personality differences that were biological instead of learned customs and habits- i argued otherwise. she wouldn’t let it go- she loved the fight- and she so desperately wanted to piss me off, or have me back down and agree with her. i did neither, i went over to her and passionately made out with her. she was receptive. i sent her one text a few days later that she ignored. i want to see it through- yet i don’t know how to play this type of warrior feminist. Dr. paul would say she needs a lover personality to counter her warrior side- a lover that can also hold their own, and not be intimidated or cowed by her personality. i tried to play into this role and it worked. i have been with a few lawyers and they are easy compared to her. what is the next move?

on March 18, 2010 at 3:54 pm I love the variable landscape women and men bring to the world. I wouldn’t wish for either gender to dissappear, or either gender’s traits. What you can expect from the world we live in after some years living in it is pain, darkness and betrayal. It shouldn’t be a revelation that a woman can be the source of this. It shouldn’t make you feel guilty or conflicted for loving and enjoying them still. I’ve realised the same thing about men. What I would wish for is a society of control and responsibility, where men and women alike take responsibility for the community and world they’re in, as well as the welfare of people around them. This is an idealistic world and ideals are impossible to realise. However, you can at least try to make it a personal reality where a woman uses her charms, manipulation and beauty to bring happiness and a man uses his powers for good likewise. A woman is said to be man’s greatest weakness. That’s so much responsibility and a power that is so easy to abuse. I wish women swapped recipes You’d have to know a recipe to swap it. femsex: Don’t you look in the mirror too? Mmm, mirrors. They can be very… *blush* Oh, where is my sexy and clever inamaroto this evening? How many frustrated nights have I spent asking this question? Where is he, will he come back to me? Oh, Doug! I am funny when I am melodramatic. The joy of bisexual psychological androgyny. Still, I think you’ve got more advanced mirror skills, girlfriend. Level 99. Anyone got a link to Her Hotness’ naked glorious picture so we can remind ourselves? FemX, the video you linked on your blog has moved me, together with your empathy of the bride made insane by her partner’s ohsohorrible refusal of her request. I have a solution for you that will be perfect. I think you should have a baby with your exact genes. A clone. I’m sure you can find contacts in certain places who can make it happen.

Its a brilliant parody of the ‘it’s not my fault I’m falling for the same kind of ‘loser’ over and over…’ rationalisation. It can be a feminine flaw to not recognise how your own behaviour is contributing to a problem. I didn’t know what to expect. I was thinking along the lines of romance novels along the supernatural lines. Speaking of shapeshifters. Doesn’t the “author” of the “book” look like Clark Kent?

Come to think of it, did you ever give her your real name? I’m not a feminist, but I would think that a name exchange would be a minimum pre-requisite for post-Neanderthal dating. I think you might be putting difficulties in your path because secretly you don’t want to succeed.

on March 18, 2010 at 4:28 pm Almost all women need to be dominated in some way. A hardcore feminist needs to feel domination more than most- but NOT in an overt way. She needs to hear lip service to her viewpoints- but she needs someone to put her lips on a dick to service.

  82. J R says:

on March 18, 2010 at 4:41 pm A hardcore feminist needs to feel domination more than most- but NOT in an overt way. in my experience hardcore feminists want to be thoroughly fucked in the bedroom, if not outright dominated. outside of the bedroom… things get trickier. it’s best not to try for anything too serious. just be the guy she calls when she tires of “sensitive pony tail guy” and needs some dick in her life. JR: the pre-emptive strike sounds like good advice, as it allows both parties plausible deniability if things don’t work out as planned. for me, this is nothing about deniability. it’s simply a flanking maneuver to try if the full-frontal assault isn’t working.

on March 18, 2010 at 6:45 pm @schmoe Thanks. Women have no sympathy . . . And my experience of women is almost as large as Europe. And it is so intimate too. Women crave for being loved, not for loving. They scream at you for sympathy all day long, they are incapable of giving any in return for they cannot remember your affairs long enough to do so. – Florence Nightingdale The Disciple asked: What is a misogynist? The Master replied: I do not know; but it is used by cowards as a term of abuse for those who say what everybody thinks. Cowards are the men who cannot approach a woman without going out of their minds and becoming treacherous. They buy the woman’s favour by serving their friends’ heads on a silver platter; and they absorb so much femininity that they see with her eyes and feel with her feelings. Agreed: there are things you do not mention in everyday conversation, and you do not tell your woman what is the essence of her gender; but one is sometimes allowed to write it. Schopenhauer put it best, Nietzsche not badly, Joséphin Péladan is the master; Thackeray wrote Men’s Wives, but that was suppressed; Balzac unmasked Caroline in The Physiology of Marriage, and Petty Troubles of Married Life; Otto Weininger, having discovered the treachery when he was twenty, did not wait for the revenge but left the scene. by August Strindberg

on March 18, 2010 at 8:14 pm Breeze But more importantly, men believe in love as an ideal. This is an important difference between men and women, that most of us find very difficult to see. Because women fall in love as hard as men do. But women don’t value love for loves sake the way men do. They’ll leave a man they are completely smitten with for a guy with better future prospects. For instance, I will go off on stuff to get it off my chest but I also like to come to a solution. There’s always room for self improvement for both sexes. I think a lot of negative traits of both sexes stem from selfishness. Relationships between men and women would work better if there was more caring and sensitivity for the needs of others as well as oneself. Best to be sensitive to each other’s needs and not so selfish…that’s the highest rate of sucess I do believe.

See wikipedia, as well as Mencken’s own introduction to the work, for the full story) Here is the first paragraph: ********************* 1. The Maternal Instinct A man’s women folk, whatever their outward show of respect for his merit and authority, always regard him secretly as an ass, and with something akin to pity. His most gaudy sayings and doings seldom deceive them; they see the actual man within, and know him for a shallow and pathetic fellow. In this fact, perhaps, lies one of the best proofs of feminine intelligence, or, as the common phrase makes it, feminine intuition. The mark of that so-called intuition is simply a sharp and accurate perception of reality, an habitual immunity to emotional enchantment, a relentless capacity for distinguishing clearly between the appearance and the substance. The appearance, in the normal family circle, is a hero, magnifico, a demigod. The substance is a poor mountebank. ********************** Read it all. I envy those of you who are about to experience the gigantic pleasure of experiencing Mencken for the very first time. And don’t worry, he doesn’t let women off the hook.

I cannot even count the number of women I’ve seen walking into the same walls over and over again in their lives and then whining about it as if the universe were deliberately plotting against them. It’s like when you see a little kid trying desperately to do something but failing at it repeatedly – you just want to walk up to the kid and be like “Jesus Christ, here…THIS is how you do it”. A man thinks that he is more intelligent than his wife because he can add up a column of figures more accurately, and because he understands the imbecile jargon of the stock market, and because he is able to distinguish between the ideas of rival politicians, and because he is privy to the minutiae of some sordid and degrading business or profession, say soap-selling or the law. But these empty talents, of course, are not really signs of a profound intelligence; they are, in fact, merely superficial accomplishments, and their acquirement puts little more strain on the mental powers than a chimpanzee suffers in learning how to catch a penny or scratch a match.

The funny thing is, in her hypergamy she’ll convince herself that the new man is her new true love. And then of course after marrying him be disgusted by his form and stop fucking him. Women love money and status, truly. Or a rake, truly. They work very differently than men, and men have the hardest time keeping that in mind.

A critique of his aforementioned lines: “A man’s women folk, whatever their outward show of respect for his merit and authority, ” Good ol’ Patriarchy. “always regard him secretly as an ass, and with something akin to pity.” Pity is the worst form of hate though a woman doesn’t know that; a woman’s love can turn into hate at the drop of a hat. “His most gaudy sayings and doings seldom deceive them; they see the actual man within, and know him for a shallow and pathetic fellow.” “Surface is woman’s nature, foam tossed to and fro on shallow water. But deep is man’s nature; his current flows in sub- terranean caverns: woman senses his power, but understands it not.” “A woman, like a child, has only the shallowest and most insubstantial of thoughts. If you were to try to paddle your feet in her oceans, you wouldn’t even get your feet wet.” Women can’t know more!! “In this fact, perhaps, lies one of the best proofs of feminine intelligence, or, as the common phrase makes it, feminine intuition. ” That’s an insult to intelligence; there is only feminine cunning that is hidden beneath the naivete that men percieve. “The mark of that so-called intuition is simply a sharp and accurate perception of reality,” haha “an habitual immunity to emotional enchantment, ” oh wow. “a relentless capacity for distinguishing clearly between the appearance and the substance.” The amusement continues. “The appearance, in the normal family circle, is a hero, magnifico, a demigod. on March 19, 2010 at 9:14 am FemX says, “And women do not want solidarity with men who are losers.” Then they don’t want solidarity. Part of the expression of solidarity is to purposefully blur or destroy class/hierarchy lines for a higher purpose, for the benefit of all. Remember, it was a great many “losers” working 20 hour days in coal mines and other atrocious conditions for a pittance, who could scarcely afford anything like what people today would think was required for basic human dignity, who voted for women to have the right to vote. A lot of dudes living four generations in a one room shack or cubicle…a lot of guys missing a lot of meals who sometimes spent a lot of tears for their wives and daughters getting sick and dying before their time from living in squalor. I have no doubt that the descendants of these souls have as much strength in them as their forefathers. One just has to not punish them for caring.

on March 19, 2010 at 1:51 pm Roissy is at his best when he tells it like it is, early candidate for Roissy post of the year. Here’s one of my own. Men know what they want in women and pursue it shamelessly; Women know what they want in men but deny it to preserve their image. Ever watched something with an insanely Alpha male character, such as Mad Men, with a chick? ‘Don Draper is hot but I wouldn’t date a man like that’… ‘Don Draper is slimy because he cheats on his wife’… It’s the same thing with Tiger Woods, women shame his behavior but if given the chance 99.9% of them would jump into bed with him so fast they’d rip the continuum. Women can’t help being attracted to powerful men any more than men can’t help being attracted to beautiful women, only difference is we don’t trivialize and deny this fact because it’s what others think we should be doing. Ladies, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with desiring a powerful man, no matter what your feminist puppeteers tell you.

That’s why we always watch it on DVD really late at night, in bed, after all the kids are asleep. Best marital aid ever. We also enjoy “The Big Bang Theory” which has a similar effect for the opposite reason. Is your name a near-anagram of Roissy’s by coincidence?

on March 20, 2010 at 6:50 am If anyone likes Taming of the Shrew then I recommend you watch ‘McClintock’. Its a western with overtones of Taming of the Shrew and stars John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara as counterparts of Petruchio and Katherine.

  176. sdaedalus says:

on March 20, 2010 at 8:25 am Surely if you’ve seen McClintock you’re aware that a coal shovel has apparently more than one use? Perhaps it’s central heating, rather than feminism, that’s led to the demise of the alpha male? [no more coal shovels] Gives a new meaning to the expression “digging oneself out”

on March 20, 2010 at 2:49 pm Men know what they want in women and pursue it shamelessly; Women know what they want in men but deny it to preserve their image. Only those with clear and explicit power may enjoy the luxuries of simplicity, honesty and directness. This applies in all affairs.

  185. Osiris says:

on March 20, 2010 at 10:39 pm Polymath – Mad Men is dope, and Joan is so sexy, a very voluptuous woman who knows and isn’t afraid to be sexy, I love it. And actually no it’s not an anagram of Roissy (though it’s close, good eye), Osiris was the God of the Dead in the Egyptian mythology…or a company that makes skate and snowboard wear, depending who you ask. White Woman – One more time, Women are attracted to men with power. It’s easy to dismiss a hypothetical when there’s no apparent chance if it’s happening, yet one more time with the preservation of the image. And of course you said he was ugly (he looks like a regular blackinese / jamasian guy to me), if you’re a man, looks follow power, status, fame and game by a distant margin. On a related note, fellas, don’t waste your time by asking a woman a hypothetical question, like ever. I retain that 99.9 percent of women, were they in Tiger’s stable of regulars, would acquiesce to his demands. Joey Giraud – Hot babes have clear and explicit power, and yet in my experience they still deny in words what they want. Thankfully they still give in to it, they say they wouldn’t, but they do.

on March 24, 2010 at 1:30 am Remember, it was a great many “losers” working 20 hour days in coal mines and other atrocious conditions for a pittance, who could scarcely afford anything like what people today would think was required for basic human dignity, who voted for women to have the right to vote. A lot of dudes living four generations in a one room shack or cubicle…a lot of guys missing a lot of meals who sometimes spent a lot of tears for their wives and daughters getting sick and dying before their time from living in squalor. “But what have you done for me lately?”

  192. Nicole says:

on March 24, 2010 at 7:39 am Glengarry, I’ll admit I laughed. Sadly though, this is the attitude of most women running around calling themselves feminists. It’s never enough. They turned from one of the movements that was supposed to be about the people, to a kind of special interest lobby. They’re going to promote their agenda no matter what the farther reaching effects would be.

on April 20, 2010 at 12:06 pm It was a satire. http://www.theabsolute.net/minefield/bkwife.html Wife has taught me everything I know. Wisdom is gained through the experience of wife itself. Enlightenment is beyond wife and death. Wife is a long, hard road. Wife is an unbroken succession of false situations. Wife was not meant to be easy. We must strive to give our wives meaning. Is there wife after death? That is the question. He was a good man, full of wife. Unhappy? That’s wife. Despair comes to those who think about wife. Happy is the man who leads a charmed wife. Only in solitude can one study the mysteries of wife. Wife is an utter mystery to me. The secret to wife is that there is no secret. “How’s wife been treating you?” Marriage changed my wife for the worse. Wife is something to occupy you when you can’t get to sleep. Wife and death go hand in hand. Marriage is a matter of wife and death. Without death there can be no wife. Wife is a dead-end street. I am a man of principle. Whatever I do, I do for wife.
